GDT: Non-Panthers NFL Discussion part 3: Meet the new season, same as the old season?

Dont have a dog in this playoff fight and haven't had one in a VERY long time, but skoL to the Vikes. Im not impressed with the Bills. The Jags and Bengals are the only teams I feel I can kind of get behind. Cats rule I guess?

If I'm a Dolphins fan, obviously yeah you make the playoffs but that was infurating at the end. Poor clock management, poor tackling, the drops in the 1st quarter. This could have been the upset of upsets.

Felt bad for the 3rd string qb....those wr had dropitis especially Waddle. Woof!

Similar for me:

TB: Nope
Cowboys: Nope
Giants: Maybe
SF: Maybe
Eagles: Nope
Jaguars: Yep
Chiefs: Maybe
Bills: Only to allow them to go far enough to have a bone crushing loss in either the Conf Championship or SB
Bengals: yep

So Brady in clutch on a team that has been butt all year and can only beat teams playing 3rd and 4th string dbs vs a good team that can't seem to stop choking.

Dis good be exciting!

No dog in the fight, but am I the only one who thought that by not calling a block in the back on Hubbard's fumble return for a touchdown the refs canceled out what might have been an almost heroic effort by Mark Andrews in chasing down Hubbard, who was in the clear with 3 blockers behind him?

I believe it was mentioned on the broadcast that the refs missed that one.

On another note you don't know (well maybe you can figure it out) how long 100 yards is until you watch a linebacker run that distance for a touchdown.

They very briefly mentioned it on the broadcast, I was surprised it didn't get more play.

Hubbard is a DE not a linebacker. (Keith Jackson voice) Rumbling, bumbling . . . lol

This Bucs team is beyond awful. That they needed the Panthers to have their 2 starting corners injured just to beat us and win the division was very telling. Good riddance bitch brady

Nfc south was quite garbage and im firm believer in winning your division should not be an automatic playoff bid or host. There should be criteria that should eliminate divisional winners from being an auto host and/or playoff if they don’t meet it.

What were you all doing the last time the Cowboys won a road playoff game (January 1993)?

Me? I was 4 years old and pretty sure watching that game with my dad. I sorta remember watching the infamous Oilers collapse in Buffalo a few weeks prior.

But yeah, it's been a long ass time

Before the game the cowboys called in a shaman to do a voodoo ritual that took all their bad juju and put in on Maher.
