Reminds me of a joke my uncle used to tell us all the time. I'm sure it's been used with other fan bases as well.

A Bears fan, Lions fan and Packers fan are climbing a mountain together. They start arguing about which team has the most devoted fan base. When they near the top, it gets pretty heated and the Bears fan says: "this is for my Bears" before jumping off the mountain and plunging to his death. Not to be out done, the Lions fan yells out: "This is for my Lions" before pushing the Packers fan off the mountain.

After all these years the joke finally came to fruition.

Which is why they can never win the big one. They take the easy way all the time.

On a serious note, I do think the Lions have finally turned the corner. They don't have the right QB yet, but they are becoming a good team, which is something I've rarely been able to say.

Some pretty good football this weekend so far. Seahawks put up a real fight early before it turned into a blowout. Jags/Lawrence epic comeback after horrific first half. Now Bills choke away a 17-0 lead with 2 Allen picks to make it tied at halftime.

If I'm a Dolphins fan, obviously yeah you make the playoffs but that was infurating at the end. Poor clock management, poor tackling, the drops in the 1st quarter. This could have been the upset of upsets.
