Amazing how fickle people are on players - now Dobbs is a tire fire. Lol.

Watch Joe Flacco tear it up this weekend lol that would be funny.

Dobbs was a known quantity before he got here, some just got over excited about 2 games, forgetting why he has been on so many teams in such a short period of time. He was never going to be the answer.

They picked a conference over a conference, not a team over a team.
God forbid they leave the SEC out.

I get it though even if i dont necessarily agree with it with FSU missing Jordan Travis but when they do something like this they kinda make some of the games pointless. The committee robbed those kids of a once in a life time opportunity.

Like one guy said on T, FSU should boycott the Orange Bowl. Show up, but stay in the locker. That would be golden.

Doubt they would do it tho

FSU got hosed.

Yep. Having a perfect record at the end of the season in one of the major conferences should mean you're a lock. 1 loss Texas and Bama could have been a coin flip for the 4th spot.

It only gets weird if there are more than 4 perfect seasons for the power conferences and Notre Dame (they have some bylaw specifically for them IIRC)

And don't forget Michigan caught CHEATING.

It is a farce.

To me it's just funny that they were so inept at it that they got caught.

On a different note, I guess I'm now old. Looking at the Bowl schedule and saying I miss when going to a Bolw game was special because there were only a few. UW at 7-5 wouldn't even have sniffed a bowl game when I was growing up. Even MN at 5-7 is somehow in a bowl game this year.

But...I was told the Gophers are in a bowl game because of their academic achievements... :sarcasm:

I mean that is a farce too. What's makes them even more of a joke is players sitting meaningless bowl games so they don't get hurt before draft.

Is Kaliakmanis even on the roster for the game?

First time ever i think an undefeated power 5 school didnt make it to the CFP. If it was OSU theyd be in id beat. I cant remember if OSU with Cardale Jones was a similar situation or if their QB got hurt during the playoff run.

Bama made it in my a miracle 4th and 31 play to beat a trash Auburn team..

With that said i do believe the CFP will be better for fans with Bama in instead of FSU but still FSU deserves to be in over Bama imo.

Texas would be in over Bama. Texas beat Bama on the road earlier in the year.

I watched some Tide games earlier this season and honestly they didn't even look that good. Their QB isn't even that good

Theyre definitely better now then say the start of the year but just over a week ago Bama barely beat a bad Auburn team on a play dubbed a miracle.

It will be funny if Tide win their next two.

I still think they should have been left out.

Their spot belong to FSU

Even better if FSU wins their bowl game and is the only undefeated for the season.

But...I was told the Gophers are in a bowl game because of their academic achievements... :sarcasm:

I don;t even know what that entails. A higher GPA, tougher class schedule, better attendance overall?

Maybe they should beat the hell out their Orange B opponent and prove a point. But if they boycotted it I think that would be golden too.

I don't like the boycott idea. From a fan perspective it sounds okay; but thinking of the players (the majority of which won't be pros), they really only lose. They lose a chance to play a football game. They lose the chance to say they had an undefeated season.

Well they would still be undefeated.

Like I said I don't think there is chance they boycott

No they wouldn't. They would take a loss due to a forfeit by boycotting the game. The AD would have had to decline the invitation to all Bowls completely for them to stay undefeated. Similar to college basketball when they don't make the NCAA field and decline an invitation to the NIT.
