No they wouldn't. They would take a loss due to a forfeit by boycotting the game. The AD would have had to decline the invitation to all Bowls completely for them to stay undefeated. Similar to college basketball when they don't make the NCAA field and decline an invitation to the NIT.

I personally think it would be worth it just to give the committee the middle finger. And media would go nuts over it. It would be very entertaining

It a story that is dead within less than a week (probably 3 days). The NCAA Playoff games and NFL Playoffs push it to afterthought status.

A longer lasting story is pulling a UCF and declare themselves Champs (if they are the only undefeated team left): parade, rings, banners, etc.

I might need to start watching these Timberwolves. Sounds like we have a pretty fun team this year.

Mahomes:
21/33
210 yards
1 TD
1 INT
79.1 rating

Love:
25/36
267 yards
3 TDs
0 INT
118.6 rating

Jordan Love outduels Patrick Mahomes. Packers WIN against the Chiefs! Let's gooooo! Packers in a playoff spot now.

Good win, well earned.

That said... Chiefs aren't playing great football this year. Mahomes is elevating a subpar Chiefs team. Ravens are the team to beat in the AFC.

I just take great joy in literally every analyst picking the chiefs before the game and every single one of them being wrong. The game was great, except for the last drive where the refs botched 4-5 calls:

-Mahomes hit out of bounds was legal
-The play where Pacheco threw a punch that came back because he was down by contact should have had the clock keep running or a 10 second runoff due to the penalty stopping the clock and the chiefs having no timeouts.
-MVS stopped his forward progress in bounds and should have had the clock keep running once he was tackled out of bounds
-Valentine over the back of MVS should have been defensive pass interference. This was a pretty egregious no call. Make up call for the Mahomes hit?
-and there was some talk about the shove on Kelce in the end zone. That one is pretty iffy. Only Tom Brady teams get that call.

I was thinking the same thing while watching that game last night. Why on earth would they keep Sean freakin' Mannion over Browning?

I guess he had a badd preseason:

I guess they'll put that one in the memory bank. Just because a young QB has bad preseason, doesn't mean to get rid.

OTOH, it's ONE GAME. And QBs can be very fickle like goalies. I hope he does good things though he seems like a nice guy.,

Because Spielman made it clear for years, he didn't want to "threaten his starting QB". He actually said, if you have 2 QBs, you have no QB. Thus went with a clear backup that would accept being a clear backup moving forward.

Anyone developmental would eventually hope to start one day, Spielman was not in favor of that.

KOC just announced Dobbs as the starter on Sunday vs Raiders. Also JJ will be playing as well.

Has anybody heard a good argument as to why any fan should care about this NBA in-season tournament?
I don't watch the NBA at all, but they made it so incredibly confusing to follow. Mixing "tournament" games with regular games. No easy place on any of the standard sport websites to find what anyone's record in the tourney was. Of everyone I talked to about it, every single person was confused about it.

Unrelated but it combined my posts automatically:
