Everytime I think of Johnny Malkin I think of him folding like a cheap lawn chair against the boards.

I think about the snow shower check he gave an opponent during that historical terrible year. Not sure if that was his final season in the NHL or not but it should have been after that.

I mean if he can keep playing, all the power to him. I just think this might be his last year. His contract is expiring next year, not sure he would want to sign another deal which will be a cheap contract to keep forcing himself playing

I think he was only considering retirement because he had multiple season ending injuries in a row and then came back and immediately got a really bad concussion that kept him out all year.

If he can avoid that type of thing (knock on wood) I would image he'll want to stay in Colorado with the opportunity to win more Cups. I think they'll want him back too. I've always thought he'd end his career taking cheap one year deals with the Avs. Either that or Anaheim.
