:habs are closing in on a trade with the Rangers for Michael Del Zotto. If the deal works out, MDZ would have already been signed to the same contract I offered, so MDZ will officially be mine if the deal does in fact work out

Andreas Enqvuist for Mike Rupp.

Rumors have it they are closing in on another deal that will send the rights to dominant defenseman Michael Del Zotto. e5

Rumors coming out of Montreal have stated that the Habs have made a significant offer to a dominant young defenseman.

I believe the addition of Radulov, J.Staal, Cammalleri, Garrison and Elliott, while not butchering the core of the team, will make the Jets much better this season. Maybe not yet a cup contender, but definetly playoff worthy IMO.

We were not able to get MDZ via offer-sheet, so we went out and acquired the signed defender. This means that MDZ is now officially a member of the Montreal Canadiens.

Confirm- :rangers were over the cap if they signed Michael, so they needed to trade him. This gave us the most return as well as happy GMs all over. :)

We feel that Josi has the potential to be a top 3 defender in the NHL, and at just 20 years of age, his development is going well so far. Weber, already almost 24 years of age, has already dipped into his prime, and has not reached his potential yet. Weber has the potential to be a top 4 defender, but it appears that he may not get there, due to halted development.

Andrei Markov (NTC)

This trade was just to clear some cap, and make more room. Markov is 33 years of age, and his missed nearly 2 years recovering from a knee injury. It appears that Andrei will never be the same again, plus, he is not young anymore. Markov is currently making $5.75m, and is under that contract for the next 3 years. We feel that keeping an aging, injury prone defender with a large salary, will only make trades/signings more difficult, due to cap restrictions. We also feel that Taylor Beck is a very solid prospect, with top 6, elite scorer potential.

1. The Blues have been in talks with Eastern Conference teams regarding T.J Oshie

2. The Blues and an original six Canadian team have been talking. No other details at the moment
