As you can see, our forwards are outstanding, our defense is perfect with a puck-mover and a shut-down defender on each pairing. Our goaltending will speak for itself with King Henrik Lundqvuist and now Scott Clemmensen backing him up. We got real lucky with just $1,600 left. We have multiple superstars in our forwards including Perry, Iginla and Oshie as great additions without completely depleting our prospect pool. We now have Malcolm Subban to fill in Henrik's massive shoes once the he retires. Jarred Tinordi will soon help fill in our top 4. Scott Laughton, Seth Griffith, Andreas Enqvuist are all great forward prospects with great upside. We are looking to compete for the Stanley Cup and we believe we can win it all.

We feel that our organization has a great complimenting group. We believe we have the right amount of youth talent to be matched with veteran leadership guys in the lockerroom.

Hedjuk, Cleary, Martin, Aucoin, Hedja, Stuart will be great to help the young guys out.

We also believe our defense will be the key part of our team this year and winning. We felt we had the offensive group to get it done. With that we thought that our backend needed a shakeup. We had youth before through out the whole backend. We now have Martin, Hedja, Stuart, Aucoin to play key roles for us and help compliment Wilson, Sbisa, and Johnson. Our defense is a strong defense and believe it is a top defensive corps in the league.

Our offense speaks for its self. We might not have the Crosby's, Malkins, Stamkos's or flash that alot of other teams bulked up on through trades. We stated before the season we were not dismantling the core we had to bring in big name players to win. We felt we have the core right here to be a winner now and for many more years. Our forward group consists of all hard working individuals who wear their heart of their sleeves and give it their all. We got offense, grit, shutdown, 2way, playmaking forwards that all compliment each other. We did not want to disrupt chemistry as well and felt all of our players had a good gel together.

We knew going into the season we needed to restructure little areas of the team and sign our key players on a budget, as we are not a cap team and we felt that we got the job done and then some.

Overall with us being a budget team, we believe we are a playoff team and will be competing this year.

due to a mix up of agents, the deadlines being pushed up and our late joining of the game, we are unable to sign some critical free agents and are completely ****ed

Look at that roster. That is easily the best group of top 6 forwards in the league.

Then that is probably the best 3rd line in the league. Johansson had 46 points last year, a 20 point jump, and he played with guys like Ward and Hendricks for half the season, who each scored about 5 goals. He will easily top 50 points this year, and possibly 60. Then you have a great 2nd liner in Steen, who is playing 3rd line, can do it all, and is a 20-25g 25-30a player. Then Kulemin, who although had a down year last year, scored 30g + 27a just two years ago. He just had a down year but is definitely a 20-25g scorer, maybe more.

Then there's a great energy line who will grind it out in Nolan-Beagle-Lewis.

Then Hedman-Green, a great top pair. Since we are going to a more offensive system with Crawford as coach, Green will be set free and score at a point per game again, and Hedman will play his game and play more defensive. A great pairing.

Then there's Alzner-Carlson, the great young defense pairing in the NHL today. They were 1st d pair in the playoffs for the Caps, a great defensive team, and now thru are 2nd pair which just shows how much depth there is on defense.

Then Orlov-Voynov. Two shifty Russians who are great puck movers, good defenders, 30+ point scorers, and can throw the body around. Probably the best 3rd pair in the league, and only getting better.

Last there's Holtby, the premier young goalie in the NHL today. This guy is not a fluke. You can tell just from the way he comes off. He has a swagger/confidence, kind of like Tim Thomas, and you know that he's not going to come up short in a big game. He's gonna do everything he can possibly do to win, which was shown in the playoffs.

How can you not vote for this team? Best group of forwards in the whole league, best defense top to bottom, and a great goalie. This roster has everything you look for in a cup winning team. 2 top line centers? Check. Star winger? Check (In fact there's 3!!!) 3rd line that can score? Check (and alot!). Good 4th line? Check. Top offensive Defenseman? Check. Legit top pairing? Check. 2nd pair that can play big minutes as well? Check. 3rd pairing that can play and not be a liability. Check (That pair is a top 4 pair). And last, a top goalie who performs under pressure. Check.

The Caps think NJ is a good team but we feel each one of our lines and D pairs is better, and so is our goalie. No disrespect to them but we just feel like our team should've been the top voted team in the East. I mean that roster is just so good. Each line/d pair/goalie has exactly what you need from them.

Vote for the best team in the East. Vote :caps

Cap: 66.7, Cap Used: 61.687 Million, Space: 5.013

Coach: Pete Deboer
Captain: Ilya Kovalchuk
A-Captain: Patrik Elias
A-Captain Travis Zajac
Offense
Ilya Kovalchuk(6.667)/Travis Zajac(3.887)/Bobby Ryan (5.562)
Curtis Glencross (2.700)/Patrik Elias(6.000)/Dainus Zubrus(3.400)
Pascal Dupuis (1.500)/Adam Henrique(0.854)/David Clarkson(2.667)
Andrew Brunette (2.200)/Jacob Josefson (0.900)/Petr Sykora (0.800)
Aaron Asham (0.800)
Defense
Anton Volchenkov(4.250)/Marek Zidlicky(4.000)
Zybnek Michalek(4.000)/Andy Greene(3.000)
Sheldon Brookbank(0.800)/Mark Fayne (1.500)
Kurtis Foster (1.250)/Aaron Rome (800K)
Goalie
Marty Brodeur (3.500)
Brent Johnson (0.650)

Offense: Our top line is something to be afraid of. Bobby Ryan (70+ points), Zajac (60+ points), and Kovalchuk (80+ points). Our 2nd line is surprisingly gritty with Glencross (40+ points), Elias (60+ points), and Dainus Zubrus (40+ points). Third line is very good as well Pascal Dupuis (40+ points), Henrique(50+ points), and Clarkson (40+ points). Finally, the fourth line is a mix of a young center and two veterans who can still score Andrew Brunette (30+ points), Josefson (good young center with tons of potential), and Petr Sykora (40+ points).

Defense: Each pairing of our defense has a puck moving D-man with a very physical D-man. They are very balanced and have great depth. Kurtis Foster has a bomb of a point shot and will be swapped in for Brookbank occasionally.

Goalie: We have one of the best still in the business in Marty Brodeur. Brent Johnson is a very good backup who can play a string of games with great results.

VOTE :devils

I feel as if my 4th line is better than the Capitals. On every good stanley cup team there was a good fourth line.

We are a very confident team. We've got superstars on every position, whether it be our offense, defense or in the cage, with all-star goalie, Marc-Andre Fleury.

With Crosby, Malkin, Parise & Neal, who are all above PPG players, we are an offensive machine. We cannot be stopped. This is the result you get when you add in two superstars beside the two best players in the world.

With that kind of offense, it would be assumed that the defense was sacrificed. That is not the case. Alternate Captain, Kristopher Letang leads this highly talented, young core that will help out our all-star goalie, MA Fleury.

Also, we have the grit with guys like Orpik, Cooke, Vitale, Jeffrey, Adams, and Engelland.

All in all, we have the best top 6 undoubtedly and with a highly talented young core of defense man in front of all-star goalie MA Fleury, we think we can beat the NY Rangers.
We have the cup recipe, so be sure to VOTE :pens

Logan Couture - Joe Thornton - Michael Grabner

We feel that we addressed our needs this offseason and improved an already elite lineup. The acquisition of Michael Grabner gives us a young winger with incredible speed and 30-goal potential. He'll look great on a line with world-class playmaker Joe Thornton and young forward Logan Couture, who is also capable of hitting the 30-goal mark. Our second line consists of veteran Patrick Marleau, another 30-goal scorer and terrific two-way player; Joe Pavelski, a 60-point center with terrific face-off abilities; and Martin Havlat, an elusive winger capable of putting up 65-70 points. On our third line, we have a solid balance of speed, size, grit, offensive ability and defensive prowess. TJ Galiardi is capable of potting 20 goals and provides high-end speed, Dominic Moore is strong in the circle and on the defensive side of the puck, and Daniel Winnik is a quick, physical forward with underrated puck handling skills. Our fourth line consists of gritty winger Brad Winchester, defensive specialist Jay McClement, and a budding power winger with size and speed in Tommy Wingels. Overall, our offensive depth is top notch and we have a very skilled and balanced group of players up front.

Our defense is highlighted by star defensemen Dan Boyle and Brent Burns, both capable of hitting the 40-point mark and quarterbacking our power play. Marc-Edouard Vlasic is extremely solid defensively and is the perfect partner for the offensive-minded Dan Boyle. The same goes for Jay Bouwmeester, whose size, speed and defensive prowess make him an ideal match for Brent Burns. Our third pairing is anchored by veteran rearguard Hal Gill, whose physical shutdown style compliments the offensive, run-and-gun style of young puck mover Jason Demers.

In net we have Antti Niemi, a solid goalie with a Cup ring and lots of playoff experience. Though inconsistent in the regular season, Niemi is known to step up his game in the playoffs. He's backed up by young netminder Thomas Greiss, who has looked impressive in his brief time in the NHL.

We feel that this team has everything a club needs to win the Cup. We boast a solid mix of young blood and proven veterans, an even combination of offensive and defensive oriented players, and we have plenty of size, speed, skill, grit and experience.

Same, there is no way Montreal is ahead of Boston and Boston not even making it to the playoffs

Boston got worse for me as Thomas has taken the year off and Rask got offer sheeted and don't know where he ended up as Boston never posted a Roster

Boston also lost a good chunk of their Bottom Six and their Defense outside of Chara is questionable
