I'm getting more confident about this season's prospects, ESPECIALLY with Pacioretty on the cusp. So much of that missing offense from last year has come because of injuries to guys like him. Patches is a PPG player when healthy. Certain fans can whine about the current bottom-pair from time to time, but they're clearly using that pairing as an opportunity to develop Chatfield. If that doesn't pan out by February, that's a "problem" that's pretty damned simple to fix at the trade deadline for a 3rd round pick or something like that.

Overall great game by the boys last night. Cant ask for much better in terms of sustaining offensive pressure and dominating time in the OZ. Puck control looked good and LA never had much time to build meaningful offensive charges. This is the kind of hockey we have all been expecting.

Canes-Ducks has always been one of my fav cross-conference matchups (despite no Getzlaf or Perry), so cant wait for that. Keep the win streak going.
