AA is *****footing around the obvious here
He says that in July he had every expectation that he'd stay here for years, but wont say at all what changed his mind.
That isn't anything new...
That isn't anything new...
the one that needs a GM?
oh, I just sly me
The only ones that are without GMs currently are the Jays and the Marlins (with the assumption that Jennings is already canned).
Ben Cherington didn't even target a job in MLB after his resignation from the Sox GM role. He's now a part of Columbia's Sports Management faculty.
AA left on slightly different terms than Cherington.
The second some GM gets turfed next year AA will be at the top of the list.
A team will make room for AA, let's not pretend they won't. He will be among the most highly sought after free agents.
Well if we are to speculate that AA wasn't going to receive the same autonomous powers as he would have with Beeston, then that's essentially the reasons for why Cherington left after Dombrowski was hired as president.
I cannot help be not believe what AA has been saying. Seems like a very political conference call.
Classy on AA to tell the fans it's all on him. Definitely on Rogers but great for him to steer the conversation.
And he left with a team that didn't just make it the ALCS.
And he wasn't named 2015 Executive of the Year by his peers either.

Smad. Everyone is smad.
