Blue Jays Discussion: No longer the off-season. It's time for real baseball

Have we heard anything on Kay or Hatch? I have no idea who the 5th starter will be if Ray, Pearson, Hatch and Kay are all unable to go. With an off day in the 2nd game we won't need the 5th starter until the 6th game, but if none of those 4 guys are available are we really going to have Zeuch start the 6th game of the year? I don't see any other options.

Looking at the 40 man right now and who's already been demoted. I expect they'll start the season with McGuire as the final position player, and Bergen as the final pitcher until a 5th starter is needed at which point they'll call up Kay/Hatch/Zeuch, and either demote Bergen or make a decision on McGuire, then when Springer is ready they'll either demote Davis or make a decision on McGuire. I think if McGuire survives all of that he eventually gets dusted for good when they tax the pen and need to call someone up.

Needing 2 40 man spots for Panik, and Mayza obviously Yates goes on the 60 day DL and I think Valera gets DFA'd for the other 40 man spot. Though I could see McGuire go too if they decide to add Liriano or Castro to the pen and need another 40 man spot.

He's in New York where he'll inevitably magically start getting favorable strike calls to cut down on his Ks and suddenly be a 30HR guy because of the joke RF porch in Yankee Stadium and be heralded as the next bit of proof that "the Yankee way" magically rejuvenates nobodies into superstars.

I was really happy to see that Mayza got a spot.

If they're going to open up another spot on the 40-man, I would prefer to see Castro or Bergen get a chance over going back to Liriano or Cole. But really, they have strong pen and whoever gets that last spot is going to be pretty low on the depth chart anyway, so it's not a big deal. Given the rate of injuries early on, I wouldn't blame them for making whatever move lets them keep the most pitchers in the system (they could assign Castro or Bergen to the minors, whereas I think Liriano and maybe Cole have opt outs if they don't make the team).

what site projects players' fantasy stats the best each year? I'm in a rotisserie pool where they count only HR, RBI, SB and AVG for hitters and W, K's, ERA and Saves for pitchers

For this pool, you have to have 1 player from each MLB team and allowed 1 double-up player for a single team on the roster.

Taxi Squad made up of 8 players

Is steamers the best? ESPN? Any fantasy sites that project players pretty good.

Also which Jay would you take? I am leaning to Vlad, Bo or Ryu. Vlad and BO both have stiff competition at their positions and Ryu might be a safer option as I can take say Trevor Story as my Rockie vs having to take a P or other position if I took Bo.

Easy to put certain players like any Tiger, Tex, Pit on my taxi and basically hope to hit a sleeper on those teams.

Any advice would help.

Our rotation isnt good and yet it is still somehow ranked 11th. Even MLB has us as their first honorable mention which could mean we are their 11th best rotation. One surprise performance or trade and we are in the top 10.

Had they listened to me, they could have kept Odor for much cheaper on year to year arb contracts and he would be a free agent now.
