Losing a retention slot for 2 years for a 3rd round pick is very meh.
Usually teams that retain for a year for that amount asks for a 4th
Y’all can never convince or gaslight me into thinking Jake Allen is a good goaltenderOr maybe you're just bad at evaluating talent.
I feel like I hear this guy's name more than I ever see him play.
Yes. which is not to say Allen is a great goaltender. He is a decent goaltender and Daws is crap.that would almost confime that he is going for a number 1 and then running another goalie with Allen. But if we are gonig with Allen as a backup, is he really that much better than Daws playing 25 games?
So is the 40+ games for both years or just next year
Both.So is the 40+ games for both years or just next year
Quite the opposite, the Devils are going All-en. Get it?
Must be troubling that the Habs ripped your team off, I’m shocked Allen had anywhere near that kind of value. This aged well.
Terrible move by NJ still.

Bro has had SHIT stats for years
Then there is only 1 slot left in 2024-2025 with expiring contracts like Savard and Armia to trade.Well the spot spent on Edmundson opens back up in July.
Of course I’m a stat watcher, why tf would anyone watch the Habs other than Habs fans?Allen was solid for us in the previous seasons mister stat watcher. So you definitely are SHIT at evaluating talent.
A 3rd round pick for Allen at 50%. Seems reasonable.
Daws is garbage.Vanecek, Daws, and Schmid are all better.
I can't stop laughing.
How many other guys on the roster are likely to be traded with retention between now and a year from now? Armia and Savard. That's it. A year from now, there will be teams able to take them at their full salary - especially with the higher cap next year. Then there is only 1 slot left in 2024-2025 with expiring contracts like Savard and Armia to trade.
Not great.
I'm not sure why other Habs fans hail it like a super deal by Hughes.
