Hopefully I can make the draft whatever day. I'm not sure which was a more traumatic event - auto-drafting Rick Nash when he was on the Rangers, or Skinner last year...

Im in. I can't do a draft that late on a Sunday, so let's see what wonders the auto-draft gives me lol
Just to make sure I’m not overlooking an option - does this league allow pre-keeper-selection trades?
I have 5 of the top 26 players in adp (Nylander Bouchard Hyman Reinhart and Robertson) , plus Bedard who I’m not about to give up in a keeper! If rules allow me to trade one of those five for a pick (or two nickels for a dime in a strength for depth swap) that’s probably both good for me and for a team upgrading its keepers, if league rules allow.

I can see both sides. On one hand, really your keepers are the only ones still on your team. That feels a little more like dynasty rules, rather than keeper rules. But, I do like encouraging trades. I had a similar thought as I do have some good players that others might want to keep. I don’t think you can trade draft picks without a pick going the other way, or there is an imbalance.

Trading players and picks before the draft is possible, because the Commissioner can modify each teams keepers and draft order.
It needs to be manually logged somewhere (like this thread), that both parties agree to the deal.
However as Pops said it is probably too late to bring this in right now. We can implement for next seasons’ off-season.

My schedule pretty much stinks for the next couple of days - so i'll just have to wait and see what happens.

yeah idk - I put him on IR when he was still DTD, and they only force you off IR when you add/drop.
I made that move the other day, and now I've got an extra guy, but everything is whacky tomorrow.
does anyone have examples / precedent of some trades involving picks? I want to see what value has looked like in the past.
I guess Our firsts are equivalent to players in like the 6th round of a non-keeper league?

Its been talked about in this thread but i can't recall a draft pick trade actually happening.
Yes 6th round would be equivalent of a 'normal 1st round pick' or keeper caliber player.

@Mr Bojanglez , two trades happened during the 2022-2023 season. Here is what I wrote after that season:

The league has that @south jersey devil owns both @billingtons ghost and @Henry Killinger first round picks. @Henry Killinger owns @south jersey devil 3rd round pick and @billingtons ghost owns @south jersey devil 7th round pick. Let me know if this is not correct.
Looking back at the history:
Billington traded Mark Scheifele and a 6th round pick [so, first round pick] to Rented Mule for Chris Kreider and a 12th round pick [so, 7th round].
Concussion Junction traded Moritz Seider and a 6th round pick [1st] to Rented Mule for Martin Necas and an 8th round pick [3rd].

Thanks - just looked at your matchups this season and that is an insane run to win or tie every week. No idea how you managed to snag McDavid, MacKinnon, Marchand & Hughes but kudos in doing so. Good luck in the playoffs - hopefully see you in the finals.

McDavid #10 pick in the draft. Hughes #12 pick in the draft. MacKinnon waivers. Marchand in one of those rare things...a trade.
I drafted Nico, and I got Drai on waivers once but dropped him.

Meanwhile I turned out to be a cakewalk for HBK27.
Still, going from second-worst-in-league pct last year to the bronze medal match this year is probably better than I should have expected. And now for the first time in forever in this pool I actually have a goalie worth using a keeper on.

It was fairly close until the last day or two - certainly to the point that I had to make a few moves on Friday. I was really glad I secured the bye the final week, as I was already 0-1-1 against you this season and I think you probably would've taken me out had we played last week. Having a goalie as a keeper will be a big help going into next season. Congrats on a good season.
Real nail-biter in the other matchup as a blocked shot or special teams point in the last couple games tonight could decide it. I have no idea how a tie gets decided.
