Just beat Earthbound. Still a damn good game.
How long does it take to beat?
Jesus, that's a long game for an older game.Probably 25-30 hours for most.

You're better reading up on Mother 1 because the game (especially the final area) is an absolute pain in the ass.Nope, never touched Mother 1 or 3.
That's pretty standard for RPGs from around that era, isn't it? Final Fantasy VI is 35 hours and Chrono Trigger is 25 hours.Jesus, that's a long game for an older game.
Hmm, you may be right, maybe as I kid I didn't realize how much time I was playing those gamesThat's pretty standard for RPGs from around that era, isn't it? Final Fantasy VI is 35 hours and Chrono Trigger is 25 hours.
A Kirby & the Forgotten Land demo was just made available in the eShop.
Started playing Triangle Strategy. I am not far at all but it seems like a slightly more complicated fire emblem and I love that. Issue so far is there’s SO MANY cut scenes.
It does get slightly better as you go on. The story is very interesting. The gameplay itself is great. The cutscenes are so freaking many. I’ve played over two and a half hours and have only done three battles. My wife is playing the demo. Will probably buy the full thing, but I think we both agree the early voice acting is pretty....off putting.
I’ve never played XCOM but it’s very similar to fire emblem in the battles itself (at least so far). There are multiple choices though that basically decide the story so it adds to the replay-ability. I’ve only come across one so far as I’m not far into the game at all but you decide which route you want to go and it’s very obvious that it has entirely different consequences (the game straight up tells you this). So to answer your question, I don’t know.Is it just linear missions, or are they generated to a degree like XCOM?
