Any ideas on what the new twist may be?

Not saying I am an expert by any means in Mario Kart, but I am also not bad at it yet they made MK8 almost impossible to beat all the stages. Instead of getting a gold trophy by having the most points, they force you to win all four matches and some of the stages are just absolutely ridiculous in terms of playability like some from the 3DS, DS, and other handheld versions. And I am just talking about 150cc, my friends and I haven't even gotten to 200cc yet which is probably even bigger cheating CPU like getting a blue shell on the last turn when you're in first place type of frustration lol. In addition, I hate all the car mechanics and stats, please get rid of them as much as possible for this new one.

That's funny I found the older games harder and didn't have much trouble with 8, I remember Double Dash and 64 being difficult.

Mine isn't really a dock, it's an adapter that has a slot for the power and hdmi and it plugs into the bottom of the Switch, to get it to project onto the TV I need to turn the system on THEN plug it in (so after gaming if you leave it plugged in to charge or whatever you would need to unplug it, start the system, plug it back in, to make it work next time)

I'd be on board for a double dash remaster only if they cleaned up the wonky kart handling. The super items were whatever and I don't miss them. But duo driving and the mini games were pretty great.

Pokemon Arceus copies are out in the wild and the general vibe is it's a good game. For some reason this seemed to me like a game that would get stuck in development hell. Comes out under a year after reveal that's pretty impressive

I think one thing (at least bigger) companies are getting better at is not allowing games to get lost in the development.

I just think from now on companies shouldn't reveal games in development unless they're pretty confident it'll release within a year. Obviously something can still go wrong, but I think it'll make you look a lot better as a developer.
Wasn't Cyberpunk 2077 reveal several years before they actually began full production? Why do that to yourself and your reputation if something goes wrong?

Nintendo tends to hold off on official reveals until close to release. They have a very loyal customer base and don't need to overly hype games to move product in the Switch generation.

Other companies have their reasons to hype up releases. Possibly to get more investment, or to encourage people to jump into their ecosystem.

Sometimes. Breath of the wild was announced pretty early, although it was probably delayed to launch with the switch a la Twilight princess.

Then there's Metroid Prime 4 which will probably be like 7 years from reveal to release.

Really the entire Wii U era was full of delays, probably to do with how outdated or hard to work with the hardware was.

Wii U had terrible sales, so there was more incentive to hype things up to drive people to that ecosystem with early announcements. Seems with Switch they are holding off, and not really pushing CGI trailers to announce things way ahead of time, especially when compared to Microsoft and to a lesser extent Sony.

I had these. Amazing controller, but you can't have a case on your switch with them. Really unfortunate. I traded them for a set of like-new joycons.

But I had to find something better then the joycons... and I did.

I recommend the Binbok controller. Not officially licensed, but similar to the Split Pad Pro, except it can be used wirelessly too. You can get both the full size or a slim (more joycon like) version.

Here's the full-size and the slim. I also added a picture of the ECHTPower joycons. I've never tried them, but they have pretty good reviews. I have a pair on order.

My brain will always jump to hopes for BotW2, but I highly doubt it’ll be a first half 2022 release, so I’m not going to be expecting it (except I will be hoping for it and thereby disappointed when they don’t show anything about it).

I would expect them to blow it out at E3.

I'm just hoping for a Megaman Battle Network collection.
