Can't speak for Rayman as I haven't played it, but I find Tropical Freeze to be a bit overrated in general, personally. It's better than the SNES Donkey Kongs, but Donkey Kong just has never been that interesting of a franchise to begin with, gameplay-wise, IMO.

Rayman was fun, had it on the U. Got a bit tedious, though, and I never finished it. Couldn't get into the Kong games at all for whatever reason, nor the 2D marios they keep pumping out once in awhile.

Really curious why Nintendo has decided to have such a cumbersome as hell system set up for households with more than one switch but only one switch account (family account, multiple kids). I might have to end up buying some downloaded content twice just so the right kid has it on the right switch.

What 2D Marios do they keep pumping out once in a while?

Personally, I wish Nintendo would legitimately go back to making a non-throwaway 2D Mario (kind of like what they've done with Metroid Dread this year), but it never happens.

Super Mario World is still probably the pinnacle of that, yet it seems like there must be so much more untapped potential there.

The Mario U (and Luigi speed run thing) that got re-released on the Switch was what I was thinking of, and I really don't see 3D world as being significantly different. If anything it feels like a half measure between 2d and 3d that I just never warmed up to. I'll give them credit, they haven't went to that well in a bit, but there was a stretch before Odyssey where it felt like Nintendo was just keeping Mario's name relevant with the occasional release or port.

I'm also clearly not a fan of them, though, and my bias is showing.

Oh, yeah, those are awful.

Rumors of the Ike from smash bros.
Fire Emblem games remake on switch. I still play those games after all these years so that's exciting news to say the least.

My only worry is that Fire Emblem has gone full blown modern anime with the new games which will totally destroy the more 90s early 2000s style of the Ike games.

Id love a Lyn, Eliwood, Hector remake too (the first Fire Emblem in the west). It would fit into the Three Houses gimmick of different paths too since that game had 3 different campaigns.

Path of Radiance was my first fire emblem game and I could never convince myself to get a wii so I never played radiant dawn so I would love it if these games got remade.

Lol, I think the person who the tweet it belongs to it is putting their account into private mode periodically. Twitters new settings are so dumb.

I ended up buying Journey to the Savage Planet ($12.50) but doubt I'll be playing it for a while. I've had Hollow Knight for maybe 3 years and am just getting into that.
