NY Rangers = America's Team
Can we get a first, even a late one for Kravtsov? Would be nice to have 3 firsts in such a strong draft.
No and Krav's value is at an all-time low. We need him given our lack of depth at RW.

Well I suppose the question is how long will it take him to come over? If you were the GM and you knew he wouldn't come over for 4 years why would you draft him? You'll most likely no longer be the GM by the time he comes over. You need ownership to step in to make a pick like that. But do you want ownership meddling?
He's got intangibles like tremendous strategeryAs a practical matter, the fans in Dallas are gonna do double takes watching a young George W. Bush clone play ice hockey.
suck it mainboard!
Or an offensive RD from SwedenCan't wait for the Rangers to go into this summers draft with 2 firsts, then take a goalie and a left winger.
Can't like this post enough.I’m going to get out ahead of this now, NO ONE should be saying that this opens up the possibility of trading the Rangers 1st this year. This years draft is going to be VERY deep. Keep both picks. If Drury wants to extend this window, this is a good opportunity to do so. Make a couple of good picks in next years draft and get a couple of nice ELC skilled players entering the NHL at a good time when they will be sorely needed.
Also makes up for not having a 1st this year as next years draft is significantly better.
I’m a big Kravtsov fan, and I hope he sticks here, but I have a feeling he’s going to get the Amonte treatment. They’re going to let him play with Panarin, rebuild his value, and trade him for veteran depth and grit for the playoff run. It's amazing to me to see people wanting a first-round pick for Krav.
How many pics do you want? We need him to be a stud. It's time to win
The funny/sad/maddening part of this is that of all the people praising this deal all over social media, at least half of them will bring out the pitchforks if Nils becomes a player.
He could go nucular. He's got intangibles like tremendous strategery
Nils will learn quickly the old saying in Texas--we say it in New York, I think it's in Texas--that says, fool me once, shame on--shame on you. Fool me--you can't get fooled again.Rarely is the question asked: is our prospects learning?
There's no room here for him, so they all can get mad but it's moot to me.The funny/sad/maddening part of this is that of all the people praising this deal all over social media, at least half of them will bring out the pitchforks if Nils becomes a player.

Ideally sure, I’d prefer that too. I’m just saying it opens up more possibilities. The team is contending now so if they’re having another strong season and a good piece is there at the deadline you can feel more comfortable parting with a high pick knowing you have another one. Not saying that’s what I want them to do but obviously it depends on the scenario. They need to keep their own pick and try to trade up if need be to get a player they love, center preferably.
Agreed. It's like getting to choose between Chesty LaRue or Busty St. Claire. In deep drafts there are some sweet spots in the 12-18 range where you can get a damn fine player - a real difference maker if you hit it right.
Some fans always want picks to pick new players but 2-3 years later the newness wears off so they want more picks. They view picks like unscratched lottery tickets. Always hoping the next one will be a jackpot. It's amazing to me to see people wanting a first-round pick for Krav.
