No actually they cannot simultaneously exist. You cannot claim something stinks in NY as if all is so bad here and then say ‘hey actually, its not that bad we have just had some things not pan out’ as in like with every organization.

As someone else said, when you accumulate this many 1st round picks, some are not going to make it and some are just going to be blocked. You are dealing with immature young kids who all have something to prove and have a bit of an ego to them. And when they “feel” they are ready by their own standards, but not NHL standards or even who their competition is, they get frustrated and want a fresh start somewhere with a better opportunity.

You want to be angry? Go for it? But don’t spread the misleading BS notion that this organization is a problem.
Disagree, can both things xoxo

many clubs?
Yeah, I won't sit back and say the things with Kravtsov and Andersson happen all the time, because they don't.

But the stuff with guys in that second, third, fourth tier of prospects, it happens frequently in all organizations. I've said it time and time again. Guys know there are limited windows for them to make the NHL and if they've been stuck in the AHL for a few years, they ask out so they can pursue their dreams in another organization. That's not unique to the Rangers or Hartford. Monitor the transaction wire throughout the season and you see decent players and prospects traded, have their contracts mutually terminated, go back to their home domestic league, etc., all the time, all across the league.

Gropp asked out. Day wanted out. Ronning wanted out. It's not because of something unique to our organization, it's because they wanted a better shot somewhere else. We've had countless European guys come and go; they wanted to give it a shot and when they realized it wouldn't work, they asked to go home. It happens everywhere.

The Lundkvist thing, it is what it is. He was a record-setting player at a really young age in the SHL. I can understand why he thinks he should be given a "better" chance than what he received here, or why he doesn't want to play in the AHL. It makes sense, and unlike Kravtsov and Andersson I don't really have any negative feelings towards him for wanting to move. If he refuses to report, I'll feel differently to some degree, but in general his situation doesn't really bother me at all.

SJS beat writer suggesting Nils for Thomas Bordeleau could make sense. Small, skilled Center who played a couple years at Michigan and scored at a PPG pace. Could make sense and the Drury - Grier connection is there for sure.
MUCH rather prefer him than Mysak which would be a brutal trade. Least with Bordeleau you are getting fair value. Top prospect for top prospect.

This is likely a year after they started asking about a trade, likely kept it quiet this long but decided to turn up the pressure imo

Yep. If I had to guess, Lundkvist made this request a long time ago and Drury has been waiting for better offers. Now we’re two weeks away from training camp and Lundkvist is staring down the barrel of another year on AHL salary. Going public puts the other 31 teams on notice that he’s available and ratchets up the pressure on Drury to get a deal done before he refuses to report to camp and/or Hartford.

The man who instigated this situation is opining about this situation. Dropped about an hour ago. Someone tell me if he atones for his S.

I agree with you. The team or Dolan seems largely about the 1994 team but we have had many cool players before them. The reason I brought up Tomas was I think his go home to Sweden threat backfired on him a couple of times leading to trades. Nils should just come earn a job. Walk the walk. If he is a top 4 guy show us. We want that.
The team should stop being douches and retire Boucher and the Cook's numbers.

Why would they publicize this? Just decreased the return.
I don't know why people think this. Rangers have zero NEED to move him. That he wants out is a very cool story and not much more.

If anything it helps his value since its advertisement to some who may not have their finger on the pulse.
