So ****ing ridiculous. It was absurd when it was happening that he wasn't playing and it's absurd in hindsight.

The "our players are out of shape--and as such they shouldn't be playing, and it's their fault" storyline from early this year is such a ****ing joke. It was Benning and Co. deflecting the fact that they entirely mismanaged their players, who were, for the most, part training in Vancouver, with the team. Blame-shifting at its finest. We lose one of the most promising young dmen we've had in a while who can play a role that we have desperately needed in our backend and they **** the dog on it, all for Phillip ****ing Larsen

As much as he was likely mismanaged this is something I think you have to accept as a risk for non-elite Russian players. There's just too good of an alternative at this point. Seems like there was terrible communication between the GM, coach and Tryamkin.

So, from the 2014 draft...

Virtanen: Restarting in the AHL
McCann: Florida
Demko: Promising in the AHL
Tryamkin: Russia
Forsling: Chicago
Pettit: Unsigned
Stewart: Long shot

Benning's first draft with the Canucks doesn't look too great after asset management the last few years.

from my take who might stick around
2015
Boeser, Brisebois, and Gaudette (might not wont b surprised if he leaves)
2016
Juolevi and Lockwood (somewhat high risk but i like my chances)...

that's pretty much it imho

Very tough blow for the Canucks.

I know this sounds a bit racist, but this is one reason why I do not like drafting or trading for Russian players. There are simply too many wildcards. Bure, Voynov, Kovalchuk, etc., etc.

The list goes on. I have extreme reservations in trading for or signing Russian players, and most Eastern European countries for that matter. Again, that's just me.

Stick to Canadians, Americans, Scandinavians, and the Swiss.

Really weird....This is out of the blue....Even though Willie was an idiot,Tryamkin was never benched, and played a regular shift....I'm guessing its homesick or his wife does not like it here..something along those lines.

Did you miss the entire first month and a half of the season where he was scratched because "too out of shape" and the Larsen Project

Good riddance. Stop drafting Russians. Khl is too convenient due them.

Andrew Alberts v2.0

I've seen guys 4ft 10 play tougher than this tree.
See ya.

No..I didn't..It was his first year in the league..and he's complain about ice time?..It does not add up.

It's normal for non-canadians to do that. Just because there is this insane standard that Canadian hockey players have of not questioning their superiors and always being on board with what the coaches and management does.

Eichel is going to get Blysma fired because Eichel doesn't agree with the ice time he's getting. And guess what, he's right to do so. It's called, using your leverage.

This is what happens when you tank on purpose and create a losing culture. We got the #2 overall pick (probably drop to #5), but it may have cost us Tryamkin. :handclap: :handclap: :handclap: Godspeed to Tryamkin, who can blame him anyways.

Just like McCann was a "pretty boy" and a problem in the locker room and as such we should just dump him for character+ mentorpede segment Gudbranson, and add right?

****ing idiotic asset management.

You don't let inmates run the asylum? I think that prison is a fairly apt metaphor for this team right now to be honest but it isn't about the player's being in charge, its' about Willie and Benning making down right stupid choices with the roster. Sbisa had more icetime than just about anyone this year, what in the world did he do better than Tryamkin to deserve that spot with Tanev so much? Oh right, the pervading notion right now is that Sbisa is vastly improved because he only makes major mistakes a little less often now?

No..I didn't..It was his first year in the league..and he's complain about ice time?..It does not add up.

The interview had it sounding that he was absolutely mystified to the reasons behind how much time he was playing, like the rest of us with many of Willie's decisions. The choice to keep him out for 10 games because he was "out of shape" was ludicrous and he's totally justified in being upset over that. It was nonsense, he stepped in after "getting in shape" over less than 30 days and was one of our best dmen. Benning and Co. are clueless

Tryamkin, Stecher, and Horvat were probably the only reasons I even watched games this season. Boeser near the end too.

How in the **** do you even let this happen?! If he wasn't going to wait for a new coach, then that means he probably was planning on leaving the whole season.

And he clearly wanted to play in the NHL prior to this season...
