Kuch and Mack are really lighting it up. MacKinnon winning an Art Ross would catapult him into first ballot HHOF territory.

Even if Mack didn't win the Hart or Art ross this year (he is my favorite for both) he will be a HHOFer after this season easily.
I was 100 % expecting McDavid to close the gap and leave this duo in the dust when he got healthy but dude's ground into a halt, probably going to have a lone assist against the Flames tonight. Those of you watching EDM games lately, does he look 100 %, is it bad puck luck or is he doing dirty work that's conducive to winning but not stuffing the score sheet? Shall I start hammering u1.5 points for him until further notice?
I was expecting McDavid to have closed the gap more than he has but there is a 4 and 5 game advantage that Kuch and Mack have and I think McDavid will take the recent team success 8 days a week.

Espo continues to be criminally underrated by the younger crowd here. The guy shattered the NHL records for goals and points in a season, setting marks that stood for over a decade until some guy named Wayne Gretzky finally surpassed them, and he retired as the second-leading scorer of all time behind Gordie Howe. MacK is nowhere near Esposito’s level and never will be.

(There are others on that list I take issue with as well, but the one I’ve addressed is by far the most absurd.)

dude won the Art Ross 5 times but apparently MacKinnon winning it once would be just the thing to propel him over him

MacKinnon is definitely very comfortably a better player than "Ferderov" though, I don't think that guy even played a single NHL game

I said it'd be McD but that seems to be getting unlikely. Happy Pasta is still up there! Lots of games left.. curious how it ends. Canuck, Russian, Czech, American and Swede in Top 5.

Followed by another Russian, another Swede, a Finn, another Canuck and another Canuck.

Nice and spread out. 3 Canucks, 2 Russians, 2 Swedes, 1 Finn, 1 American and 1 Czech.

OR

North America 4 and Europe 6.

Sorry Mr. Cherry.

It would be really cool to see MacKinnon win it. It's crazy that he's only had one 100 point season, which is obviously due to injuries. It's the crazy points per game every season that makes him feel like a perennial 100 point guy.

f*** your nostaliga

Mackinnon if after this year he wins the ross+hart+lindsay is a greater player all time then the below

Forsberg
Sakic
Yzerman
Messier
Esposito
Malkin
Lindros
Datsyuk
Ferderov

It’s funny because he’s actually better than precisely none of those players, although he should comfortably surpass the careers of Datsyuk, Fedorov and Lindros.

Starting to think people have forgotten how much of a badass Mark Messier was

They'll go back and forth...but if TB makes the playoffs after being neutered by the cap...the Hart is Kuch's to lose....art or no art ross
I doubt this as the narrative and historical trend of hat fans and Kucherov are well documented.

Another 1 pt game for mcd. Barring injuries to both msck n kuch that's pretty much all she wrote. He should at least finish third in scoring. At 27 would look very bad if he failed to do so

I know you really badly want this to happen to rub in certain posters faces but why not just have some patience and hold off on these kind of statements until it's actually officially happened?
