Second one gets the Devils a 1st that Severson will probably get at the deadline and a player that can somewhat replace Wood as he is going to price himself out of NJ

That would be a terrible move for the Habs. There is only room for so many undersized players on one team and the Habs should not giving up Matheson for something not needed for a few obvious reasons.

Leafs are also getting rid of Holl and it’s Edmundson at 50% for two seasons.

Sure, so the premise of your trade is to replace Muzzin? The Leafs have a lot of LHD on the roster, but loosing Holl (even though he’s not great) creates another hole, which they don’t really have internal options to fill.

Personally I think Eddy is a solid pick up for a lot of teams, but IMO it wouldn’t be wise for the Leafs to invest their 1st into another LHD.

Just my opinion but I'm okay with Brodie and Liljegren as our Top 4 RD. I think we just need a better bottom pairing RD or low end Top 4 RD whos defense first to play with Sandin and get Holl off the ice

Hainsey was a UFA. So why you're even using that trade as a guideline when you asked for term is beyond me. Especially when I already said it wouldn't take much to get a UFA, older Dman.
