This guy barely looks like an NHL player. Wish I had some of those hilarious takes to trade Nylander for this guy a couple of seasons ago. Embarrassing take

He definitely has deserved the demotion...however I don't believe it'll be like this all season. I still see him ending up with 15 G. Maybe this will give him a kick in the pants and him and Simmonds will create a lot of havoc together. Thing I dislike most is that Engvall-Spezza-Simmonds has arguably been our best line the last couple games...so odd choice to bust that up.

Yes, but I don't see how you can complain about filling out our roster through UFA as every team does it and we have had better success than most at it. Especially because there are players that want to come to Toronto for cheaper than their market value.

At the end of the day, our biggest issues the last few years have been our star players not all showing up in the playoffs... not a lack of depth. Same issue so far this year that our stars haven't been scoring (which I'm sure will change) while the majority of our depth players (besides Ritchie) have been doing good-great.

What did the fourth line do to deserve him? That line was great, leave it alone, Keefe is brutal. Put him on the third, leave the line that was working alone.

Didn't even notice this guy all night fcol. Same can be said for the other 8 games so far.

Bunting was the Hyman replacement. He hasn’t been bad this far and Hyman will also come back down to earth from his hot start.

Ritchie was supposed to be a new element we have been missing and I don’t wanna give up on that quite yet. He’s still finding his stride and learning a new and totally different system than any he’s played in this far. This system is also the most unfriendly to his player type to any he’s been in

Which new potential GM's do you see taking over for him and and you "supporting" around the clock?

Just curious..

I'm hoping for a Gorton or Lombardi/Futa combo personally.

yup it'll take take some time for him to adjust

-new teammates
-new city
-new skate sharpener
-different post game buffet
-different seat on the charter
-new uni color scheme

way to many things for a player to adjust to over night , i'll give him a pass for this year and next and then make a decision on him

Some people like to jump to conclusions quickly……any excuse to be negative. And some like to root for our team and try to understand the circumstances for a struggling player. I had doubts too but I really hope he succeeds and we give him the chance to do so.

Hated this signing when we did it. Boston fans were laughing and saying just wait and see what you are getting.
Thankfully Bunting doesn't need all the lame excuses and is just coming out and playing.
This was a blunder, but thankfully fixable.
