To show everyone how it was the last time he coached back in 79? The game wasn't as technical back than as it is today. I highly doubt he knows what a sagging zone defense or a box plus 1 is.

dude, don cherry doesnt know where tf he is at this point. meanwhile we got the ppc clown constituents clamouring for him.

Not a good start... he seems very unsure out there. He just needs to stop deferring and make the plays that are there. Its not like his linemates are doing anything either.

Another example of why trying to fill out your roster via UFA, with little to spend, does not work.

Needs to be moved to line #3, with Bunting moving up with Matty and Kerfoot up with JT.
He's been moved to the 4th line....poor Spezza

Hopefully this line change/demotion helps him to rediscover his game as 2.5 M per x 2 isn't altogether insignificant.

I've seen him have one good shift so far, and he ended it by barely getting away with a hook as the puck was leaving the offensive zone. He has seriously been worse than Simmonds and doesn't deserve to be in the lineup at this point.

I couldn't believe it on Saturday, Matty and Mitch were carrying over the Pens blueline about 6 feet apart and there's Ritchie 3 whole steps behind them and smack dab in the middle between them, not out on the LW drawing the defense over but right in the middle allowing the Pens to bunch up at the blueline and ignore the left side.

not just once either, I mean even a peewee knows better then that don't they?

I think he can be better than he's played so far... I mean, that's not a very high bar though, it is?

But, let's suppose he doesn't play better... I wonder if we waived him, to send him to the AHL, if someone would actually do us a favour, and claim him? Probably not, but wishful thinking.
