Injury Report: Nick Foligno (Lower Body)

  • We're expecting server maintenance on March 3rd starting at midnight, there may be downtime during the work.
  • Xenforo Cloud has upgraded us to version 2.3.6. Please report any issues you experience.
China doll? Suggest you check out his career stats. You’ll find he very rarely misses games despite playing a highly physical game.

For us he's been a china doll, I know his history and usually Power Forwards in their mid 30s tend to be worn down. When he's been on the ice he's been effective, but any hit now can flair up his lower body injury.

Maybe that is plan to keep him fresh for tomorrow and rotate some players in / out as we see fit to keep energy up.
well there are like 5 guys i would sit but that would impossible.

thornton, nash, gally, etc. all need to sit a game

i would leave the first and 3rd lines intact and blow up the rest.

The team is leading the playoff series. I get this place loves to talk about prospects but that 1st should be the last thing on anyone's mind lol.

He'll probably be good to go tomorrow night from the sounds of things

Did Dubas know about this nagging injury when he gave up the 1st rd pick for this guy?
Sounds like something I would lower the price tag on.

Right.
This is the one year where you might end up with a top prospect with a late pick.

Or you may end up with a complete bust beacuse nobody has been able to see the prospects in person.

It's not as if the Leafs have any advantage in scouting during a pandemic

Were walking over the Habs without him or JT and Foligno is obviously close, if not ready.

Probably just precautionary, wouldnt be surprised if he sits game 5 as well. Put them away while minimizing risk of injury to players who are not 100%.

I get that people here have an obsession with 1st round picks, but this is the playoffs and theyre only 4 games in. There is (should be) a lot of games left for Foligno to prove his worth.

Bunch of fans have to shake the loser mentality.

I agree with you on him resting until we need him. And for people saying he hasn't done anything since coming here. He forced Perry to fight(something people have been wishing for a player on the leafs to do) was awesome filling in as the 2C in game two and we still have the rest of the playoffs for him to make a bigger impact.
This is the player we traded for at the DL, he has come as advertised and is delivering what i thought he would be when we traded for him.
