Obviously lines/combos/positions are subject to change, but just looking at roster construction:

K. He - Bryant (OA) - Roobroeck
Wassilyn (R) - Czata - Paris
Levin - Galiyanov - Assadourian

Frolov - Vannetten
Podrekar (IMP) - Wycisk
Cheynowski - Import?

Flores
Robertson

Undecided:
Crete (R)
Klein (OA)
Stewart
Podolioukh (OA)
E. He
Dianov
DeWatcher
Frasca (R)
McMahon (R)

No idea who the Centres will be this season. Do we see Roobroeck switch to C? Czata/Assadourian/Wassilyn can play there too. If he's as advertised, Crete is probably good enough to make the team too. Bottom-6 could literally be anyone. D still needs work, would love to see another import D at 12. I can at least see a bright light in the distance...
I think Crete and one of the rookie dmen make the team.

I dont think they'll use an OA spot on Vannetten. They likely try to bring in a better 20 year old dman.

If Flores comes back, I wouldn't be surprised if he's moved by mid-season (perhaps his own condition). I can't see both guys wanting to share the net 50/50.

Wray and Vermeulen likely make the team up front due to need of size and physciality. I could see Assadourian and possibly one of Levin/Paris sent out for picks, to then use toward defensive upgrades.

Sorry yes, originally I had Wray and Crete on a 4th line but felt it was too skeptical to even try. Agreed on the Vannetten point, but impossible to speculate who it would even be. Also agreed on the Flores point, he may even get an ECHL deal somewhere and run with that, who knows. I'm not the world's biggest fan of Vermeulen, but they seem to love him so I would not be surprised to see him either. Assadourian definitely feels like the odd one out in the forward group to me.

Went to the rookie game this morning at Seymour Hannah. Wassilyn and Crete played well and look promising early.

And he was wrong
lol, remember when you told me I was wrong that dedobler had bought the team. a bit of self awareness is key in life

they never bothered to call anyone in the draft room, so the investigation was pretty meaningless

thats not a big signing. wasslyn, humphres and frasca are all the same agent that does all the crooked stuff with the owner.

As opposed to all the crooked stuff other agents/wannabe owner-GMs banded together to conspire against DeDibbelaer?
It took one agent to nullify their efforts. That is a good thing imo.

Just look at the 2022 Icedogs priority selection if you need any further proof.

Two years later I wonder how those parents fell about pissing away money to be drafted into the OHL. That money would have been better spent trying to get them to a D1 school. Either way the kids were unlikely to play. And the parents obviously have more money than brains

i have a feeling the 25k or whatever that was spent was the equivalent to a nice dinner for the families. just a guess.

I have heard it was 100k per player and yes, those parents have more money than brains.

Niagara’s past three drafts has had its share of some very shady draft selections and no one should be surprised that three of the four selections are clients of agent John Walters, who ran their draft.

4/5th of the team is walters guys, i hope the team keeps him happy or they could wake up one day and have 80 percent of the team gone.

What does this team need to be a playoff contender besides ownership
Ownership will always be a problem unless he decides to sell.

It's hard to imagine them not being a playoff team this year. Even with his horrible decisions, the cyclical nature of the league will get them in. They'll outscore their problems most nights. Them building a championship team is a whole other story.
