Probably couldn't get any one else to report.

so take a high end guy that you may be able to put on reserve. they have an open import spot. even can draft a guy and trade him next summer if he wants to go somewhere else.

Some info on Sobolev...

6'1 217. While I've never talked to him, he comes across as soft-spoken and not one for the spotlight. On the ice, he plays a rugged, physical defensive game and can throw a mean hipcheck. He'll even drop the mitts on occasion if needed. Offensively, don't expect a whole lot; maybe a few goals and 10-15 points if you're lucky. He had some injury problems last season but seems to be healthy now. Honestly, it's tough to see him go.

My assumption is you've never seen him play. Most Spits fans wanted him back as he would be top pairing D this year on the Spits. Did not work out as the OA situation dictated. On the Dogs he will be a 3 - 4 D and his toughness will be a big help.
i think he will play a ton in niagara but thats more due to thier awful d then anything. i think hes good but its more due to age vs ability. just my opinion.

He will be a solid addition. Can't be any worse defensively than last year. Should be able to swing a deal at or before the deadline for a young dman if a few of our older forwards score some goals and play well....ie Declan Waddick or Juan Copeland.

Those older ‘05 born forwards still have up to three seasons of eligibility.
Should be able to scoop up any ‘06 D that come available with the ~20 (2-4) picks the Icedogs have though.

Declan is a soft player that is invisible on the ice. He will score some goals but will disappear for several games in a row. Can't compete in the corners

Kid was 17 and scored 28 goals on a garbage team. You don't throw that away for an older/lesser player and a 3rd

Very fair trade imo.
Sucks for the IceDogs and Assadourian particularly that the Attack wanted Waddick, but Bryant should be a better centre for scorers Lavoie, He, Roobroek as well as better defensively.
