Looks good to me.

C'mon man! Don't let the 90's nostalgia virus affect you. Those jerseys were hideous then and just the same today. Same goes for the original Coyotes tarps. Its like missing dial up internet.

Seeing as we had them up until 2006, it isn't really 90's nostalgia.

I’m curious though it’s rumored the avs will have a nordiques reverse retro and the wild will have a north starts reverse retro but will it just be a recolored avs logo to match nordiques colors or a recolored wild logo to match north stars logo or vice verse.
Yeah from everything I heard the Wild will still use the Wild logo but it will be recolorized:

I think their is a shot that they may use the Minnesota M logo:

As for the Avs I think there is a chance they may use the Nordiques logo since they are the same franchise unlike the Wild and North Stars. Like the hurricanes and Whalers.

So the islanders is basically this? Orange numbers if I had to guess.

Really boring if that’s the case. Orange was the move if they wanted to keep with the theme, nothing here to be excited about... unless they did something unusual with the logo.

I mean they said 1980 was the year so I can’t imagine them changing the logo. Would be a cool twist though. I agree, on the surface its boring. Also, I couldn’t stand the navy blue jerseys. Always loved the Royal Blue so much better.

I dunno.

I felt like they were a decent look for that era. IMO, they just haven't aged well.

Adidas "Okay teams, at noon you can release these teaser images."
NHL Teams "You got it."

Ottawa Senators "Hey everyone, we signed a guy that punches people for the farm team!"

Yup. Those and even the mighty ducks logo were mocked heavily back in the day. But now its retro and “cool”.

I will say without hesitation, the Coyotes and Sabres had awful jerseys in the late 90s. The only redeeming factor about either of them is the nod to local culture by the Coyotes, which is cool. But the color combinations are terrible, they don't look good on the ice, and the cultural nod doesn't keep the logo from being a mess. The Sabres jersey is just junk... they are not a red-white-black team, the logo is an eyesore, and the side-striping is a disaster.

The Ducks jersey is fine if you delete the logo, and from a marketing perspective the logo itself is a good design for what it was meant to accomplish. But in greater context, the name and logo selection were an embarrassment. It says a lot the past 30 years that something as blatantly minor-league as naming yourself after a movie series is no longer considered beneath the dignity of the NHL.

So yeah, don't drink the nostalgia kool-aid folks. The late 90s was a hellscape for jersey design. Lock the door and throw away the key.
