NHL.TV / Center Ice / ESPN+ Discussion - Part IV [See the warning in OP]

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Yeah that's some bullshit considering its an NHL sanctioned tournament
Ya it’s a joke. At the very least if you are money grubbing losers. Have a link to buy access to the games, but nothing.

NHL can’t do anything right when it comes to promoting the game.

Also it’s the same networks airing the games so it’s not like they need different access.

Not that it’s worth watching but I am pretty sure in previous years they haven’t had the all star game on nhl.tv either.

Does anyone have audio syncing issues when it comes to ESPN+. I have it all the time when I first enter the games. The video is a bit ahead of the audio, mainly because there's some pausing of audio when I enter the game while the video is still going. Is there a way to prevent that from happening? I'm on Apple TV.

For the amount of money TNT threw at a TV deal, I still think Fox would have been much better.

Fox and the NHL "just worked" back in the day and don't doubt today it would be better. Plus the theme is as iconic as NHL on Espn.

Trying to watch NHL in Hawaii.

Anyone know how to subscribe to ESPN+ in the US with a Canadian credit card… and Postal Code?

I get to the point of paying and it’s asking for a “Zip Code”. It does not allow for a Canadian Postal Code. Also, the work-around that sometimes works where you enter the numerical digits of your Canadian Postal Code followed by two zeros does not work.

Not available to Canadians, like states can’t sign up for TSN

I understand it’s not available IN Canada but if you’re IN the US and want to pay for it, it seems foolish to turn away money. It has to do with licensing rights and where their customers are allowed to stream, not who the consumer is a citizen of. Yes, I know there are VPNs that can mask your location but most of these sites can, and will, just block you if you are funnelling through a VPN.

I'm not sure if it would actually work, but have you considered the option of getting one of those prepaid debit cards to sign up?

Not available for visitors either. They now use other methods besides or in addition to VPN’s.
If you had a US Visa card, and made up an address, not sure if that would work.
