Is the ESPN+ feed of Oilers/Jets choppy as hell or is it my internet?! It's unwatchable at the moment and I never had this issue at all last year.

And tomorrow night's free preview of Boston/Montreal is blacked out, because game is on TSN.
Yeah, I added TSN on Amazon Prime. I have been impressed with the video quality. It’s a lot better than the TSN app which I have tried. 20 bucks a month. I’ll keep it until football is over anyway.

I dont think we'll see a sportsnet promo code until a month or so passes by . It would be a slap in the face to those who have just renewed at 249.99 . I did receive an email from Sporsnet on Monday hoping for one but it was just a general announcement that the season is starting with of course links to sign up for 249.99
That's why I left. I didn't get the promo code last year and I had auto renew on and they would adjust for me. So I left this year.

As an international NHL.TV subscriber I'm finding the ESPN(+?) broadcast a little weird. So you get the game with commentary but just a wideshot of the arena during ad breaks. I'm fine with it, beats actual ads, it's just a bit odd. And you get the occasional out of broadcast comment or unfinished graphic.

so I watched the amazon prime (canada) coast to coast coverage for around 2.5 hours . Subban and Demers had me reaching for the mute button early though .

kinda like nfl red-zone

I know ESPN is doing their Frozen Frenzy in a few weeks, but why can't the US have access to this Amazon Prime show. I feel like the US Audience should get more than they actually do, and the whole NHL Network thing still sucks.

Reminder that the NHL Network in Canada had “NHL on the Fly” with live look ins literally more than 2 decades ago. That’s where we are now in this exciting and innovative hockey media landscape.

How was the coverage otherwise ? I would love to watch something like that on nights when the Bruins aren’t playing . I’m going to watch the show this Thursday.

I dont have sn+ yet so it was nice to watch some hockey .At times they have 4 games going on a split screen but I preferred when they'd just go full screen for a few minutes then move to another game for a few minutes etc.

Anyone know why the New Jersey- Washington game isn't available on Bell Centre Ice in Canada. I would assume they would have both feeds available to deliver to paying customers. Incompetence on Bell's part or possibly on the league?

if its on sn360 or sn1 it will be blacked out because its being carried nationally .

when I had center ice with bell this was my biggest pet peeve .

you need to upgrade your sports pack to include 360 and sn1 or else it will happen all season

Bell never had both feeds when I used them for center ice for 20 years . This is my 4th season away from that platform however so idk if things changed .

So this is a Bell Canada problem... thank you for the info...
it depends , have you figured out if sn1 or sn 360 aired the game ? If I had to guess , probably sn 360 .

also , do you have sn1 and sn 360 or just regional sn and tsn.

unrelated , but I noticed while doing some searching that theres still an nhl app so I downloaded it to my Roku . The condensed game highlights are available there from previous days action so that was nice to find instead of looking for them on nhl's youtube channel .

Centre ice on Bell, doesn’t have both feeds, I don’t think anyone does both feeds anymore, in any country. Last was the US. Last time Bell had both feeds was 15-20 years ago.

I doubt it is bells fault, if it actually happened, as I don’t know which channel numbers you checked on Bell listings.
I had centre ice for 20 years with Bell, and and only had an issue once in a pre season game.

Also do you get all 6 Sportsnet channels in your package

Yes I do have all the SN channels.

I wonder if it has something to do with Bell not realizing there are Caps games on Monumental now. Though I believe they had some from them last year. They had been good at getting some of the games that were streaming only (was it ESPN+ ??) last year and they were noteworthy because they had no commercials.

Bell also missed three of the Caps pre season games that were on Monumental.

Surprised they wouldn't have gotten the NJ feed at least.

Still pissed I missed it as it was opening night for the Caps 50th Anniversary season and it would have been nice to see.

Thanks, didn’t realize Caps were a streaming only, Monuments says 75 games.
Ya that would be why not on centre ice, at least for cable/fibe/satellite subscribers,
But good point on the NJ feed, that’s a good suggestion for the NHL, to get centre ice to implement that, or media, they’d have more pull.

I didn’t think Bell had a streaming option for centre ice.

I’m going to watch centre ice lineup schedule for a few nights, and monitor that.
Any other teams switch to stream only, especially after the Bally proceedings.?
Thanks for info.

This site provides an overview for what sports are airing where across all the premium sports packs (Centre Ice, Sunday Ticket etc) for Rogers, Cogeco, Eastlink, Shaw, and “Other”

Maybe Bell/Telus have a similar site going? Not sure if they’re encompassed under “other”. Been a while since I’ve been exposed to Bell/Telus versions of Centre Ice

EDIT: re: Sportsnet promo code, a random redditor claims a rep told him there won’t be any promo codes

It was the monumental feed from the Caps they showed for the Devils game!
