Sooooo figured I’d pick up the centre ice package for the final month of the season. Called Rogers 3 different times, 3 different reps that clearly had no clue what hockey even was. Let alone what package it might be.

Guess I’ll try during the weekday! Thanks Rogers support!

Those motherf***ers are back at it again – cutting announcers off mid-sentence (as he was telling about the standings and earlier games played tonight !!!), static frozen screens instead of intermisssion content, etc. etc. etc.

f*** this motherf***ing league and their f***ing streaming! :mad::mad::mad:

Well, at least you could watch the game.

The only thing I can see today is "Seems like you don't have the subscription needed....", while I have a f**** subscritpion.

Whatever those morons are doing to "improve the product" they should just stop.

In previous seasons, there used to be both pregame and postgame shows for Kings games.

This season, there is no more pregame show, no more postgame show, and last night, they also cut away all intermission content, replacing it with a static frozen screen (so you had to think, for 17 minutes straight, that your stream collapsed), while also, during periods, regularly cutting announcers off mid-sentence, while going into breaks.

You goddamn morons at NHL.com! This is the service you provide for our subscription money ??!!

Whatever you HFBoards posters do, if you have any other option to follow the NHL, don't buy this product.

NO VEGAS GAME (currently in progress) AVAILABLE IN THE NHL.TV APP !!! :mad::mad::mad:

I paid the subsciption for EVERY SINGLE f***ING GAME, you jerks !!!

I don't give a damn it's a game on stupid ESPN. ESPN doesn't even exist in Europe.

Avoid this service like the plague, DON'T pay for it, ANY other option is far better.
 
The stream is working now – but the trouble is that for the time it wasn't, it wasn't even on the app's goddamn menu!

The app simply pretended that no such game was played today.

I had to go to the app's Settings, select Vegas (yuck!) as my favorite team instead of the Kings, and only then, the game briefly appeared in the schedule, only to report a stream error after tapping on it, with "We're trying to fix this stream, another broadcast may be available" – which of course it isn't, because it's an ESPN game.

In any case, now the stream works normally, and I was able to revert to the Kings as my favorite team in the app's settings. Damn!

(Naturally, the only reason I'm interested in the Vegas game is to see them lose to the Preds, if possible. Currently tied 2-2 after 2 periods. But this really got me scared, because the Kings game against the Oilers, about to start in half an hour from now, is likewise an ESPN broadcast, and if one of the ESPN games wasn't working, the other likely wouldn't, either.)
 
I'm so fed up with NHL.TV. Season is almost over, and the app (Firestick) still has so many issues.

Funny thing is that it still creates new problem almost every day. Here's a list of the most recent ones:

Two days ago, the app itself was "working", but I could not watch a single game. I clicked on all of them and always was informed that I cannot watch it as it seems that I do not have a subscription. Needless to say that I do. Needless to say that the app itself said that I am a subscriper. Did I log out and in multiple times? Sure. Did I reset the cache? Sure. Did any of this help? No. So no games for me.

Yesterday, I tried starting the app and I was no longer logged in (though I did not log out the night before). So I logged in. However, every game I tried to watch, including recaps, the app informed me that I would have to sign in first. Of course, I was signed in. Of course, I tried logging out and in, clearing the cache etc. Nothing worked. Every time I close the app, I am automatically logged out. When I log in, the app says I do have a subscription, but I cannot watch anything. (The app on my Android phone is working, so there definitely is no problem with my subscription.)

To be honest, I am close to be done with NHL.tv. This is fraud, plain and simple.
 
They just don't get it. When people decide to shell out money for a service, they rightfully expect it to be far superior compared to every other option.

With the NHL, it's the exact opposite: their paid service is far inferior compared to all the other options out there.

(And then people are surprised when in the most recent Czech parliamentary elections, the country almost got its first Prime Minister from the Pirate Party. He's the Deputy Prime Minister now.)

You all seem to have bigger problems than me but the hide scores button seems to have vanished from my (desktop) NHL.TV. I don't even know why that option exists. If you're watching a game after it's happened you won't want it spoiled, if you're watching live you're going to be watching full screen so you won't see the boxscore anyway. What's the point?

Support told me to reinstall the app. I did and it indeed worked. For one game...

Then the app stopped working again. I was told that I was signed out, error code 403. After I reinstalled yet again, it worked. Still, it's ridiculous. Season is almost over and they did not manage to offer a product that works for two games in a row.
 
ESPN+ : It looks like all of the playoff games are already blacked out; they have the lock next to all the games. If that's the case, this may, in fact, be my last year watching the NHL.

I remember 10 years ago, the buffering was horrible during the playoffs streaming, I thought to myself, "This will all be perfected in 10 years with no blackouts." I couldn't have been more wrong.

I guess I'll be moving on to MLS, I can add every game they play without blackouts for an extra $79 (per year) on Apple TV (from what I've heard).

It's like the NHL doesn't want people to pay for the product they sell.

I just cancelled cable assuming I could stream most playoff games and I'm just now learning that you can't really stream any of them?

What is wrong with the NHL? Are they run by dumb stupid idiot who are ****ing dumb? Do they hate us? Do they hate money? Are they dumb stupid idiots? YES YES AND YES and **** THEM ALL.

This is no way to treat your fanbase. They are just going to lose their entire audience with nonsense like this.

Ok, so I can no longer access NHL.tv using a VPN (Strong VPN) that has worked the whole season. I paid for my subscription and have been using a VPN for years.

Anyone else have this issue?

I can't believe this is happening with the playoffs around the corner. Looks like I'm screwed since I can't stay up to watch the games live. Why oh why did the NHL feel the need to update their service. Whatever flaws the previous version had at least it worked and you could get around the issues.

Anything espn touches or worse gets its hands on, decreases in quality to eventually be ruined.
Look what happened to college football. Together with the ncaa, they degraded the quality of thier broadcasts to the point where they were unwatchable both by selling too much commercial time and using college cinema dept camera equipment and announcing. And this was TV!
I just hope the evil 4 letter doesnt ruin the nhl. They appear to be well on thier way.
