ESPN: We want to grow the game

Constantly hides games behind paywalls and ESPN+ exclusives

Why would I do that? I live in market. I can watch on cable. I can't watch this game on cable, can I? No...I have to pay 9 dollars, just to watch one game.

Love to meet the idiotic marketing genius who thought that up, and give 'em a piece of my mind.

ESPN has never said anything about wanting to grow the game. They want to get as much out of the existing fan base as possible.

So, if you hear male commentators that are bad at the job, do you assume that all male commentators will be bad at the job? It's okay to think that any individual woman is bad as a commentator assuming that you are judging all commentator on the same basis. But to condemn a whole gender as being unsuitable for a job is unacceptable this day in age.

Kinda confused by your question but I’m in Atlanta trying to watch the Jets home feed. If they’re out of town I’m stuck watching the other team’s home feed because they’re the home team.
 
They might have finally fixed the Ipad app. Last night I was watching the Florida game and I was able to switch between feeds finally. Took them until half way into the season to fix it, but I guess better late than never.
 
Anyone else getting this ****ing Wynn Bets commercial literally EVERY commercial break?!... not even just for hockey, Australian Open too.

Yes, Flames-Jackets is blacked out for me and definitely should not be.

I change my mind about espn, I’d honestly consider paying more for NHLtv for the archive games. Sometimes I don’t have time over two days to watch once recent games let alone 2 or 3, sucks how I’ll never see some. Wish they’d bring back/create a new version of nhl archive

Still no fix, still trash, and still no timely response from customer service.

I also have an NHLTV subscription. I can watch some games on there, but some are blacked out and I can only watch those on Sportsnet. What a mess. I want to watch the games, I'm willing to pay for them, but the free streams are more reliable.

Sportsnet Now is an absolute embarrassment after their update a few months ago. Constant buffering, frame rate drops, lag, etc. I recently got a VPN and got ESPN+. Perfect stream and absolutely no issues. I wish I did this months ago.

Shit, espn app constantly crashes when you try and fast forward a lot. If you accidentally back out of the video the feed doesnt remember where you were so you'll start at the beginning of the game. Most versions of espn+ show scores as spoilers.

I think xbox and ps offer you the options of hiding scores but my phone, android tablet, and ipad do not. The video quality is usually good when your in HD but this stupid app doesnt let you select video quality it only lets you select if you want it to try and do HD or SD

The nhltv app was vastly superior in every way.

Anyone else unable to switch broadcast on the IPAD version of ESPN+? If I try to change to the away feed the current feed stops and I get an indefinite loading circle.

I have three nieces under four years old. I’m grateful for the fact that by the time they enter the workforce, dinosaurs like you will be more or less extinct.
