Whoever wrote this hockey Draft Kings commercial really thought "between-the-legs jaw dropper" was the way to go?...

I purchased center ice so I could watch not my team's games but all games.

I am a hockey nut.

Now ESPN+ is cherry picking games so I have to purchase another service?

I will be cancelling center ice after the year.

ESPN can go blank themselves. There are other options.

I hope this comment doesn`t break any rules. I have to say you catching Lauren Gardner "On The Fly" it`s a natural pleasure.

Great another blacked out (NHL Network) game because Bettman wants to prop up their failing cable business.

Bad enough the NHL postponed a bunch of Oilers games this week cause they can’t get a full gate, but then one they’re actually playing can’t be watched unless you subscribe to a dinosaur network.

For whatever reason I get St. Louis blacked out... Living in North Central Indiana.

6 hour drive to St. Louis. Three hours to Detroit, four to Columbus.

I can't complain too much, if Detroit got blacked out I'd be pissed.

Yup.

Big new deal with ESPN+ and you can't watch the the Winter Classic on it.

Because NHL.

NHL should have obtained ESPN ‘s permission for the NHL app to work the way it always has and be an additional focal point for hockey game access ( or take the app and fold into ESPN+) .

However, this year you would need to sign in with a cable login and an ESPN+ login to see all the games (effectively ESPN does that making you sign in twice).

The app was much better organized and easier to use with re to dates and teams.

There has to be a better way - I was watching some college hoop (Auburn) and the game ended right at 8:29 - 4 minutes later I am finally in the app with the Avs game. Coming in on a Fire TV. It's so slow. I just want to put a number in and press enter and have game come up. And also switch over to other games (basketball and hockey) during timeouts and I can't do that.

All the games from last night just have a "The game will begin shortly screen" up the whole time, and the games are lasting ~4 hours. What's going on?

Ed - Ended up getting it working a few hours later. I've had NHL TV since the 16-17 season and I've never had this problem, weird one.

Centre ice must be on a free preview right now, as last night I had all the games on. Now I used to get CI, but stopped last year, after they didn't pro-rate the amount, to the number of games.
I assume free preview because of all the postponements.

The nhl app also actually worked. Espn crashes when you fast forward commercials at least once almost every game. Not to mention the mobile app shows scores with no way to disable scores

ESPN+ Replays (ON DEMAND): Using my PC for accessing ESPN+, I can retrieve/replay NHL games all the way back to the season start date of 12 Oct 2021. However, if I use the ESPN app on my Roku to access ESPN+, I can scroll thru and replay ON DEMAND NHL games only as far back as a few days ago. Anyone have better results with your ESPN+ app for replaying older games?

It's awkward and time consuming but I found that doing a particular game search provided a result.

There is so much damn content on ESPN (and they don't make it easy to navigate) that is quite challenging to view older stuff.

Guys, it's really not that hard to scroll down on the ESPN+ menu and go to "Leagues" and select "NHL". Yeah it's a few more clicks, but it's not rocket science. There needs to be a balance between "I'm too disconnected from technology to have the patience to learn something new, that a teenager can do" and "the features, menu, layout could be improved".

geez c’mon. I’m sure the majority of folks in today works know their way around a computer and TV.

want to find a game that was played a month ago? It’s not easy and you have to spell out (correctly) each team that played. That takes work versus the nhl app that made it easy to find a date and the games associated.

Reading through this thread, I came to a different conclusion. My comment wasn't fully directed at you.

I have to say I really hate female colour commentators. Dear ladies, that`s not for you. You are usually great as sideline, please stuck there

I cut the cord this past September (DirecTV) and went with Roku and YouTube TV...Went ahead and bought the year long ESPN+ package; so far so good - however I do prefer the DirecTV remote/interface where within seconds I can flip from 1 to a handful of games via Center Ice.
