NHL to talk to teams about tampering (the GMs)

There is one and only one problem with this

ALL TEAMS ARE DOING AND THE PLAYERS AND THEIR AGENTS ARE HAPPY TO DO IT.

I just don't know how you stop it.

Christian Horner says Lewis Hamilton's Dad reached out to see if Lewis could come to Red Bull. Lewis says that didn't happen and his Dad was just calling to...err....talk about the weather I suppose? And as ridiculous as that sounds, who is going to be able to prove otherwise?

You can't, really.

The league can't cross examine journalists on their sources and can't tell editors what they publish.

well it is called the silly season for a reason, when drivers don’t have a job for the following season.

Rangers perpetually bailed out and given gifts yet can’t win a thing. Might as well start the tampering

Andlauer is right.

The NHL should use this case to send the message that you don't discuss players under contract to another team. Period.

Do an investigation, and if there is enough evidence then impose a fine and transfer a draft pick from NYR to Ottawa.

Just my opinion -- and I'm not at all a Sens' fan.
Only Ottawa gets punished for draft picks

That was not about tampering but them not giving a no trade list to a team that they traded a player to

So get rid of trading altogether?
Sure, but only for those who can't tell the difference between trade negotiations and tampering.

If someone is not bright enough to know the difference between trade negotiations and tampering, then yes, they should absolutely keep their mouth shut.

Andlauer is really trying to immediately make himself the most hated owner in the league

Accuses the Rangers of tampering to the league. League meets with the Rangers and says no evidence of anything and that the case is closed. Andlauer goes public with it.

The league has already shown an extreme bias against Andlauer/the Sens which is no surprise, they are driven by what the American teams and owners demand. It's not shocking that Bettman would side with two prized franchises in Vegas and NYR.

I hope Andlauer continues to make himself heard and seen, sunlight is the best disinfectant and maybe with enough coverage of the league's embarrassing antics something will change.

Or, more likely, Andlauer will cost his team another pick because the league is tired of him.

He's been complaining about the league basically suckering him into getting the Sens since he got them. Complained that they got the highest price from him. It seems like he got buyers remorse within his first year and now is trying his best to annoy the league every chance he gets.

Just sell the team and move on if you hate it so much.

Lmao BS
Here is what happened Brooksie withdrew his original comment

“Brooks subsequently walked back his earlier report, saying Tkachuk was the prototype forward they sought.”

What does that have to do with anything I said? I never said anything about Brooks.

I mean, I think most normal people would complain if they were getting screwed over again and again. What you're suggesting is akin to telling someone not to complain on Yelp or Google about bad service at a store and to suck it up just because no one else has bothered to complain yet.

Andlauer's honesty is refreshing and it's not his fault the other Canadian teams have taken this kind of shit for years without speaking up.

if you think billionaire sports team owners care about what other billionaire sports team owners are saying about their team you got another thing coming, its like in maybe the top ten news of their financial portfolios, they're not in the same universe as professional hockey...

He’s got a real beef. Not all the issues were disclosed to him before he bought the sens.

So sell them? No one is forcing him to own an NHL team. Let alone an NHL team he feels is much worse than he thought it was.

Catch 22 with the NHL doing this. How many NHL teams use the media to either get legit rumours out there or to try and prove a GM is trying to improve the team? Media needs access and the teams use it to their advantage. Both Terry Jones and Jim Matthieson wrote about it a couple of books they wrote about their time as beat writers in Edmonton.

Here's my take on this, Andlauer thinks the Brady story was leaked to Brooks by ownership to sow distrust/plant the seed. Is this possible? I've read Dolan leaks to Brooks but I don't know the team enough. Even if he's right, Andlauer has no proof and can't be throwing things out like this IMO. I think he's still really angry with the Vegas penalty and it shows but to quote Tony Soprano:

Are you gonna be ok, that’s makes absolutely no sense 🤣🤣
don’t brag about being uninformed. People are trying to help you be informed.

Since then Brooksie has been informed to walk back his comments.

Here is a quote from the article

What Brooks says has zero bearing on if the Rangers tampered or not. You can't keep others informed when you think Brooks works for the Rangers.
