I have a blank powder blue, and this one. Yeah, it's the "basketball style" one, but it reminded me of the old sweater I couldn't afford at the time.View attachment 813326
Good times.
All of those ones need to be burned. So bad lol.

When considering everything that's going on in AZ...I'm thinking anything can happen - especially when considering the BoG loves expansion fees.
lol I can’t wait for the awkwardness of good ole Canadian boys trying to understand wth is going on with all the hip hop and dirty south themes the org will throw lmao

Im sorry, did you just unironically compare Minnesota to Atlanta as a hockey market?

This will be another Coyotes. Within 5 years we'll be hearing about how "people would go to the game if the stadium was closer to the city and easier to get to"

It’s more likely to be another Nashville or Dallas. It’s a different city than it was and the circumstances are different, too, as other have explained better than I could.

There are too many teams as it is. Talent pool is already stretched so thin. So many noncompetitive bottom feeders every single year...

We used to have a rule for wife regarding her clothes: For every 1 new thing she bought she had to get rid of 2 things she didn't wear anymore.

The NHL should be under the same rule.

Yeah there never used to be garbage teams at the bottom of the league when there were 20 teams…

Watered down league gets even more watered down.

Heard today on Sirius . " Dont know how how the Bruins are doing it with that line up" After Pastrnak, Marchand and McCavoy the roster up is pretty bland" First place over all.

Legit question on its face. But it shouldn't be so surprising. All the teams have a pretty big fall of after the top 4 or 5 players. Thats who the Bruins are playing against after all. Insider after Insider reports the same thing on every team "would like to add a top six forwards, need a two top four dmen , goalies are sparce and may teams are looking to upgrade in net. A bona-fide second line center. etc etc etc.

32 teams is more than enough........No need to strain the talent pool even more.
Other than $$$$ grab.
Are they supposed to have a lot of talent after going for it all for a near decade + ???? It’s not supposed to work like that

Move or expansion? Either way, I'm sure the owners are drooling over the incoming cheques.

OMG. If they are moving phx there…..

Atlanta, Winnipeg and Phoenix be like….

People love the Blueland jerseys and they are nice but give me the original CCM navy jerseys with the silhouette logo and "wing" arm striping all day long.

It's a gorgeous look. The two-tone blue is played out at this point IMO - the balance of navy, that deep shade of red and the golden yellow is just awesome in this sweater. Plus the striping details in the hem and neck line.

It's late 90's/early 00's without being tacky.

The whole league lost it with that terrible bibbed piping Reebok era. Blanched all the character out of jerseys.

Expansion definitely seems like more of a matter of when, not if.

But Houston or Salt Lake City would make way more sense than having yet another to in Atlanta

Also, claims of watered down quality are overblown. 4th liners, and bottom pairing D are arguably more skilled than they were 15+ years ago. Teams used to routinely dress guys who could barely skate as long as they could punch

The fans shouldn't agree to this unless they bring back best on best tournaments to supplement for the lack of talent on NHL teams. I'm not signing anything without that agreement in place.

  • Just under 8 billion people in the world
  • 1.64m athletes playing ice hockey according to IIHF
  • NHL Players currently representing 18 countries
  • 26 NHL rookies with 10 or more points
  • Most recent expansion teams making playoffs and even winning a Cup.
  • The bottom feeder NHL teams not bottom feeders due to lack of talent but mismanagement/intentional dismantling.
  • Game is faster than ever and talented skaters valued significantly, higher than the less talented, enforcers and grinders of past years.
  • Premium on player development and player health. Don't have numbers but, I bet there are far fewer players playing drunk than in years past.
  • Players born in non-traditional hockey markets significantly contributing to NHL teams (Matthews, Knies, Robertson, Moore, Ghost, & many more). (The NHL enters these markets, children get hooked to the game, they grow and enter the talent pool)
Yet...the NHL wants to give jobs to an extra 50 players about once every 5 years or so and the squawkers say no...don't do it, we can not possibly find 1,000 NHLers...my talent dilution. :scared:

If phx moves to Atlanta:

Wpg gives atl records back to Atlanta.
Atl gives Wpg history back to Wpg.
Phx records/history are buried in Glendale in a pile of ash - to rise again.

Atlantas team name needs to be the Atlanta Phoenix

Bird themed still
They have risen from the ashes
Flame themed.

Life is amazing. lol.

all the concern people have about talent levels with expansion sounds so silly when you look at what Vegas and Seattle have managed to do with other teams castoffs and depth players
An expansion draft pretty much boils down to each of the existing teams replacing a third line foward or second [aing d-man with one of their top AHLers.

The Hockey Guy made a video where we got 4 new teams. Salt Lake City in the West, Houston in the Central, Atlanta in the Metro, and Quebec City in the Atlantic. I would support that idea if that's how it came about.
My God, have you watched the quality of play of some of the teams now? Water the product down more and it will become unwatchable...

Oh I get that . Agree completely. Perhaps I was not very clear. My bad.
Bruins impress me more than any organization in the league.
I was merely using the talking heads question, where he reffered to Bruins first place roster as baffling? Jake on The Point SiriusXFM. Look around the league , it ain't that baffling Jake.
Bruins are a great team . Period.
Toronto reporter obviously was trying to slight them.
Personally I am impressed with Bruins depth players and "Big team Little me" winning formula.
After the top 3 Dogs on Bruins.....I like Carlo, Zaccha, Debrusk, Frederick, Swaymand and Ulmark to name some. Young guys like Geekie and Potrais. I wish the Habs could have that kind of depth.
What I was trying to point out was anyone questioning the Bruins success on the bottom half of their roster only need to look around the league. 32 team hard cap league - nobody is stacked. The days of the 02 Wings are long long gone.
Knights , Bruins, Panthers, Stars probably deepest team in the league. 2024 depth.
