Did anyone catch the Bettman interview during the game last night? I may have been watching a Canadian broadcast, so maybe it wasn't aired on NBC, but I could swear he said something about Tom Wilson with respect to disciplinary actions.

EDIT: Found it.

Gary Bettman praises state of NHL officiating and Player Safety; Tom Wilson anyone?

WARNING: That site is bitching about Wilson not getting suspended.

"The one incident MacLean noted from the regular season was Tom Wilson’s rag dolling and throw down of Artemi Panarin.

'Well the throw down with Tom Wilson is a question of supplemental discipline,' Bettman answered. 'George Parros does a terrific job, and he has tough judgment calls to make. I think he’s been very consistent.'"

I actually wouldn't mind seeing Tampa win their 3rd Cup. It would make our friends in Pittsburgh start feeling very nervous and insecure.

Kinda weird, but at the same time a lot of people who have worked together for a decade are about to lose their jobs. So not surprising they want to commemorate their time together.

Did they run a highlight video of their run as NHL partners and show all the different faces involved?

At times NBC did grate on me, but ESPN seems like just a dumpster fire right now with all the drama with their NBA broadcasters.

Yeah I didn’t love NBC a ton, but I see ESPN as worse. All they do is pump the NBA and all the offcourt drama like they are a sports version of Bravo. They care more about hot takes than actual content and have never shown any idea what hockey is. My expectations are low

ESPN definitely has a toxic workplace culture, but if their coverage is good I won’t care. Especially if their integrated plans with Disney+ are good.

ESPN eventually neglected the NHL in favor of the NBA last time. I hope their coverage is more early 90s ESPN2 quality this time around.

The positive is that the hockey on air and production staff don't work out of ESPN HQ. Many of them have full time local jobs. Only management and the studio staff and crew will have to deal with the toxic ESPN.

On another subject, Kornheiser and Wilbon will be forced to talk about hockey now. Oh, boy

NBC did a good job. Some pro pens bias but other than that catchy theme, solid broadcasters, I got no beef

Considering the Kuzy situation, we have to be all over this right? Tarasenko has a good head on his shoulders, and when he’s healthy, he brings one of the deadliest wrist shots in the NHL.

He’s basically what Semin would’ve been if he played hard every game, but with some injury concerns.

Some injury concerns? He has played 34 games in the past two years. If Kuzy is traded we need a center coming back, McMichael is not NHL ready.

He is a shell of the player you remember and has started to develop a reputation as lazy in StLouis. This is not the player you are looking for
