Time to stick Jumbo Joe in a Taylor Sheridan series.
Beards of Bakersfield
Coastal Cleats
Special Ops: Jumbo Johnson
Hobo Honor
Fresno Furry Fury

Eh, I overdid the alliteration - can’t quite put it together. We need a Sheridan series name generator. Get to it, internet!

This Joe Thornton entrance is amazing!

As a guy who probably looks older than he is I don't even say this with any hate but Joe looks like he's 10 years out of his playing days and there for something else entirely… just wild how athletes change when they don't have to work to be brutalized a bunch (offensive linemen what's up)

Dude what is it with you and how people dress? lol

Are you a fashion critic from the NYT?

Clothes look great, the beard looks like a Hobo….and it always has.

Same with Newton….clothes are great, the stupid dredds popping out the top of his hat looks freakin absurd.

Sorry to offend oh delicate flower!

“Storage Shed” it is.

<Overly serious voiceover>: “Most people mill about their lives aimlessly, with their yoga pants and overpriced lattes. What they don't realize is that those freedoms are secured by a vast network of storage sheds. What a man must do…what he must become in his storage shed, is the very backbone of this great country. For me, it’s a way of life…that is now under assault…”

I had too much fun writing this - def have watched too much Sheridan, lol

Trotz does not seem like a very good GM. My impression is he does a terrible job at asset management and long-term planning. Even if his moves worked for this year, he's giving away good, young players with future potential, and this will kill him down the road.

And it makes sense, because coaches generally don't have to be too concerned with what's going to happen several years from now, as their job is to get the most out of their current roster and a little bit of developing young players. But for GMs, planning for the future is a much bigger part of the job.

I think they legitimately want to get rid of Trouba but hard to find takers on that contract.
Yea, I read in the offseason that they were trying to move him. I was shocked because he won the Messier Leadership Award - surely he must be important! LOL. But, he has a NMC, and his wife is in her medical residency in NYC.

Watching them on their recent Western swing - team doesn’t defend, looks lifeless, and just depends on their PP and goaltending to bail them out. Same as when the Caps played them earlier this season. Maybe the Lavi bump is wearing off. Plus, a lot of their key guys are pushing 32-33 (Kreider, Panarin, Trochek, Zibanejad).

Do we know his directive from Ownership? Maybe he was told to try and build a playoff qualifier immediately?

NY sports fans have to be hating life more than DC sports fans these days.

Rangers lose again at home to offensively challenged Blues. Shesty gives up 4. Not sure Lavy does his best work under pressure and scrutiny
