^ThisI think I would stop watching the Caps if they got Marchand.
Jagr, Cooke, Brashear....none of those guys put me off the Caps.
Marchand is a bridge too far.

I’m a Marchand guy. Total asshat to play against but a great player. He’s pacing for 30+30 this season even with Boston’s offensive and power play struggles and he’s a gamer in the playoffs. He’s 77th all time in playoff points per game (Ovi is 63rd), which is ahead of guys like Kopitar, Toews, Barkov, Matt Tkachuk, Panarin, Backstrom, etc. He’s 17th in playoff points per game among active players.I think I would stop watching the Caps if they got Marchand.

A third line of Marchand-Eller-Leonard in the spring… yes please, sign me up right up for that.
respectfully, no I watch hockey, so I don’t. Ottawa is 20th in GF we’re 1st. Put him in a better situation and he’s a 50/50 guy IMO. But whatevs….fun hypothetical trade target. You underestimate how good his supporting offensive cast has been. Stutzle, Giroux, Batherson, Debrincat, Chabot.
They were bound to come back down to Earth. But that's a harder-than-anticipated re-entry.What a difference a day or 2 make. Nine minutes after puck drop, and San Jose is down 0-4 against the Bolts.
Agree that TBL likely takes third in the Atlantic.Right now it looks like Florida and Toronto are top 2 then Tampa have Boston on point %. Boston on point percentage is WC2 with Philly being the closest team. Right now I would guess Boston makes it as none of the non playoff teams look that good.
add BOS to that list too...I am enjoying NYR downfall almost as much as Pit downfall
Honestly, I'm liking it more. The schadenfreude is sweeter because their fans expected the Rangers to be good. Many if not most Pens fans knew their team was mediocre at best.I am enjoying NYR downfall almost as much as Pit downfall
IDK I think the team is pretty poorly constructed and he honestly did well to get them to where they were last year (much like he did with the Caps his first season!). Will have to wait to see how things shake out with NYR to see how much of the blame this year is on him, but I don't really think this is a primarily Lavi issue.Maybe teams will finally learn that Lavi isn’t a long term solution and isn’t worth blowing up a roster over? They went from a legit SC contender to a dumpster fire in less than a year lol
Shhh…..don’t impede the Lavi hate….it’s the low hanging fruit of complaints.IDK I think the team is pretty poorly constructed and he honestly did well to get them to where they were last year (much like he did with the Caps his first season!). That being said, L M A O to the complete tire-fire that the Rags are right now -- couldn't happen to a more deserving franchise!
