With the Nashville news, how did you old timers rate Polie as Caps GM?

It's hard to say, oddly - Abe Pollin was a cheap owner when it came to the Caps. Poile did the best he could with what he had, but I'm not sure you could build a winning team with the budget Poile was provided. OTOH, Poile wasn't able to surmount that hurdle very often.

I think the Bruins are going to fall off a cliff in a couple years so the 2025 pick will be mid-round at worst.
Just look at what they have at UFAs besides Orlov and Hathaway. Bergeron, Krejci, Pastrrnak, Foligno, Nosek, Clifton. They got some age there, get the feeling that they win this year, many of those players may retire/not return.

Ovy has 9 50 goal seasons, now with McDavid all other active NHL players have 10 50 goal seasons

I was at the Oilers game tonight and the Bruins played Orlov on right wing during their last power play, so that's interesting.

It was a 5 on 3 with 4 minutes left up by one goal, but Krejci was on defense.

Just means they already know he has a bomb, good for them. I always thought that was part of his main package as a prospect and never really developed as a pro, at least as a weapon. He'd use it, sure, but not as often as he maybe should have.

Ugh now I have to root against McDavid because I don't want him to hit 65.

I think many people are coming around to the fact that McDavid is actually better than Crosby and Ovechkin.

The man has a 25 point lead on second place. He's untouchable, he's a freak.

Damn that was a guy I was hoping would get to market. Smart signing by the Wings.

Orlov with 2 goals for Bruins and Kopitar with 4 goals so far.
Copley is lucky he plays for a team that can score and play defense like LA does. He’s putting up slightly less better than awful numbers but he’s got an Andrew “Hamburgler” Hammond record because the team around him keeps bailing him out. He’s rocking a 4.35 GAA and a .867 save % his last four games — looks like his carriage has firmly turned back into a pumpkin.

Love Orlov but if the reports about him wanting 7-8 years on an extension are true then they made the right call for the franchise in taking him. Will be fascinating to see what happens with him this off-season.
