Only way you can do this is if you drop any and all pretense of caring about the quality of the board. If you can't win with grace you can't get all pissy when everyone else is pointing shit out that bothers you.

As the creator of the thread you linked, i just wanted to delineate the fact that the Caps are old and extremely injury prone from the talk about Siegs, Vrana, Stephenson and Sprong. Im of the opinion that this team needs rejuvenation and to trade away guys like Oshie etc for prospects, but i do not have an opinion on previous trades since those are always hard to predict and all GM:s lose trades frequently.

Damn… disappear for the day to get some work done and I miss three pages of bickering. Haha.

There was a LOT of hate here when loses and injuries were piling up! And it was loud af. I was pulling knives out of my back for supporting GMBM and Lavi.

The problem here… too much short term emotion. It’s a long season. Hopefully long playoff run. Games will be lost. Players will f*** up. Coaches will make mistakes. GM’s will make mistakes. But over the long haul our group pretty damn good.

Gentle reminder while everyone are laughing at how bad the Devils are that they are still 8 points ahead of us with a game in hand and still have the second best goal-difference in the East. I think they'll be just fine. It will be interesting what they do with their goaltending situation though if Vanecek keeps sliding. He's had a knack for starting the season great and then regressing as the season goes on.

It would be fun to see Devils winning the Metro and seeing Devils-Capitals in the first-round. That's propably my preferred (realistic) first-round match-up right now.

I've taken enough shit here, including from the person I was responding to, that I can post a few f*** yous if I want to.

And I never said anything about "grace" or politeness. I'm not tone policing so don't you try and do that to me. I was talking about the content and the analysis. Every time.

This. "Short term emotion" is a good way of putting it. If you try to shorten it to something like "panic" people get pissy and offended.

"I'm not panicking! How dare you!"

Yeah well whatever you call it, going on and on every day about trading everyone and firing the staff after every loss in Oct or Nov is annoying and shallow.

"I'm not shallow! How dare you!"

Just use the ignore function people. I’ve only used it once (we all know on who), and it’s been blessed peace of mind.

I used to get my blood boiling far too often when I had to read his condescending dribble. Now that I don’t? It’s truly amazing.

The ironic part is I NEVER used ignore. Until I was forced too by said poster, who’s done it to so many of us. I learned it from him, which I will admit.

We haven't had any success whatsoever since 2018. So I think it's somewhat understandable for people to believe that this team might not have it anymore. Specifically under Lavi they have had extremely disappointing playoffs. They are playing well now, and I would be the happiest person here if they can continue playing like this. But we shall see. Consistency has been a huge issue under Lavi.
