He wasn’t anywhere near worth that in his short time in New Jersey, hopefully that continues.

I thought he was excellent and was bitten by some poor luck in the postseason. Maybe the last few years of that contract will age poorly but I highly doubt Meier doesn’t light it up the next few years.

He’s only reached the 70 point plateau once, he’s been hyped up for many years but has never quite reached star level.

With that said Dubois just got 8.5 million, so it doesn’t seem too bad.

really late to this but..are there any fans of the idea of Mitchkov to the Capitals around here? Seems like some reporters on social media are forcing this narrative down everyone's throats but I'd really prefer a top-line C if the one is still available at 8.

There is no Center, beyond Bedard, who is a better prospect then Michkov. He's probably a 1C talent level to Bedard's 1A.

He's got great shot but Capitals are going to have to wait for quite a while for him to come over. He's also barely 6 feet tall which is not ideal for a winger whose only elite skill basically is shooting.

The caps specifically would not have to wait quite a while for him to come over

If the eye test tells you that Michkov’s only elite skill is shooting, I suggest going to the optometrist!
just from the first minute or two of that highlight video you can see his control radius and sense of space for where his stick and others' are is ridiculous.

Reilly Smith to Pittsburgh for a 3rd round pick. Smith was meh during the playoffs but he’s a good player. Vegas clearing space for extensions I presume. Man, Vegas is ruthless. Thanks for the Cup now get the f*** out.
