It’s hard to tell if the Bolts fan was antagonizing the Rangers fan or yelling at someone else in front of him. Not remotely defending the Rangers fan because f*** that guy but also f*** people that talk shit and scream to losing opponent fans. Drunk obnoxious sports fans are the worst

i dunno, shit talking with other fans happens all the time at every sports event. Doesn't usually end like that. And that looked pretty tame anyway, it;s not like he was in the guys personal space, he was behind him. That guy had every opportunity to just ignore it and keep walking.

My first experience at a caps flyers games was just a ton of grown ass men in caps and flyers gear screaming in each others faces at the metro. No punches were thrown lol

I agree, but fights also happen at sports events all the time, usually because of drunk fans talking shit to each other. I’m just saying f*** people that go out and look for trouble like that.

The fact that someone already had their camera phone out and pointing directly at them means that there had to be something going on before the punch. Obviously there wouldn't be much that could have been said that would actually justify that response from the Rangers fan, but there was definitely some form of animosity happening before hand.

Apparently that guy also punched a witness in the face who confronted him attempting to get away. He's going to prison for that punch, unbelievably stupid move.

If you find yourself in a situation where you want to punch or fight someone, run away. You either end up hurt/dead or in jail.

Or worse, sued :(

At the last flyers caps game I went to in capital one some young lady (really cute) in a flyers jersey was outright talking shit about how the caps suck as we were all assembling out after the loss. Nothing happened to her.

That said sometimes caps fans can be hostile. Once witnessed a woman go into the bathroom, take the time to go back out int the concourse right after, and single out a pens fan by yelling Pens suck 😂

I remember a lady in grad school from Pittsburgh. She hated professional sports more than my father and the reason for her hate was abusive Steelers fans yelling and cussing at a four year old boy wearing an Eagles jersey at a Steelers home game. I get having fan loyalty and rooting for the team, but that is way too far and mental insanity to yell and cuss at a four year old over sports. I told her it can be worse at hockey games and then she remembered those fans were also Pens fans.

The worst stadium experience I’ve had was actually by a Caps fan at Cap One. He was so hammered he kept falling over people when he would stand to cheer, said f*** you every other sentence, and was generally just a belligerent asshole. He kept swearing at this family in front of us who had little kids so finally after asking him nicely to quiet down and let other people enjoy the game a few of us told him to cut the shit or leave. He tried to get tough which was pretty funny because I think if he took a swing he’d trip over himself since he could barely stand anyway, so we just got security and they escorted him out. I actually felt compelled to apologize to the family and tell them 99.99% of Caps fans aren’t like that.

Don’t be an asshole is advice way more people should follow.

Yeah, that guy will be facing a felony charge… he could have killed him or seriously hurt him. The Lightning fan looked like he was talking to someone else and this guy decided he wanted to commit assault for seemingly no reason. Credit to the Rangers fans around them though. Everyone went to his aid and got security involved to ID the guy who did it.

Booze and emotions about the outcome of a sport is a bad combination.
Lucky he didn’t kill that guy on the ground contact after the fall.

I‘d throw the book at this guy. Good showing by the Rangers fans who helped him.

Yeah Caps fans can be jerks too. Earlier last season some guy kept talking shit at a wings fan like 10 rows below. The fact that those two had an animated discussion like 10 rows apart was hilarious, why would anyone be chirping that high. Anyway it nearly came to blows and he threated to go down the steps to beat him up but better minds prevailed.

The caps arena is usually pretty friendly though and opposing fans have no issue invading. Another time in a Pens game a few years ago two mothers went to blows over one of them wearing a Malkin jersey lol but the fight lasted like 2 seconds before security broke it up

The Ranger fan in question looked pretty harmless -- not particularly big or robust.
He just happened to land the perfect punch.

Only a few worse human scum on my list the people that cold cock ambush style.

Through a party at my parents once and one of my groups of friends wanted to invite this notorious cold cocker/general fighter dude and they promised he was all cool now and they'd watch him, etc.. Of course after a couple of hours he asked my girlfriend's male friend for a light and blasted him. Broke his cheekbone and I spent the next few hours in the Fairfax County Hospital emergency room.

Now my friends that vouched for him I will at least give them credit for converging on him and basically forced him out of the house into the front yard though the dude got some punches in even on his friends there. He didn't even look angry.

Funny ending the story about five to seven years later heard that he had somehow married one of the prettiest/coolest girls from my HS class and had a couple of kids and was completely a changed man apparently.

here‘s to hoping TB cleans Rangers out tonight. F the Rangers. And I hope someone takes a run at Trubo as well.

I'm finding myself not hating TB like I did in the past and right now I hope they hold the lead. I'm rooting for Avs though.

Is Vasi really going to do this shutout the opposing team in an elimination game thing again?

Holy shit did Stamkos ever burn the f*** out of Trouba up the ice.

Way to give up a 2-on-1 right after tying it up.

Tampa is such a smart team. They do none of the dumb stuff Washington did against Florida.
