With those guys you just need some role players given they will get lots of ice time. Of course every team needs goaltending and defense, but those two guys can carry a team when healthy. I do agree, if either of those guys go down they need a whole new hockey team. I say this as Edmonton as my alternate team, lol. Their current goaltending won't get the job done and they will drive up the price in the goalie market.

He's on his last NHL opportunity and he needs to make the best of it. I would have taken a gamble with the way the Caps were playing, but after last night I'm glad we dodged a bullet. I rather give the ice time to McMic, Leason, or Protas.

I also forgot Snively. He has that appearance of being an energy guy that will score at important times potentially.

Kane is a good player but he's a locker room cancer and an asshole in general. Glad we dodged that bullet.

Fits well with the Oilers, their locker room was in shambles already so why not add him to the mix.

I thought the exact same thing. Olie has taken a slightly different path, player development vs goalie coaching. But Holtby seems to be as calm and grounded as anyone ever (witness Rich Peverly gif). He could be a good contender to become a goalie coach if thats his path.
