Where I'm confused is factors like looks, height etc are all fair game and not a choice while religion is a choice. So if I were to make a chart rating harder hitting insults, the ones against things you can't change would sit higher.I think even if the player *was* a Mennonite the tone matters. You can't use it in a pejorative way, even if it's accurate.
Just like any other ethnic or religious term, the tone and context makes a big difference. I do not think there is any nice way of calling someone a Mennonite in the heat of a hockey game.
