Onto my pick

My pick is one of the dirtiest in the history of the sport. He deliberately and violently broke the ankle of who some may call the world's best player at the time.

My pick is the face of a team who won 2 Cups in a row despite their goalie having absolutely tremendous seasons relative to the league during that run. In other words, he knew his knees could bend.

My pick remains deified despite playing in an era where all of 10 guys knew what they were doing out there and most goalies didn't know their knees could bend, while wearing fitted bed sheets and no helmet as padding.

My pick's fragile ego fractured all sides of the love triangle between player, organization, and fans with a player who was/could have been/should have been the new face of the NHL for his generation. Because of my pick's actions, this player was seen as a villain more often than the legend in the making he was

My pick didn't care enough about his draft picks that he forgot the name of his very best one in front of that young player and his family, then laughed about it.

My pick felt so important that, despite having no official roster managerial duties, he routinely shaped the on and off ice product as he saw fit for over 2 decades while desperately and vicariously playing the game in which he felt entitled to. This neverending clamoring not only denied the franchise success, but hampered its ability to evolve with the sport.

My pick stepped in front of a full arena knowing the best player in the history of the organization was going to be traded and used his 1000th game as an excuse to thank him for his service in an attempt to save face

My pick has shifted blame to others within the organization for bad decisions he was a part of, lying to his peers and Flyers fans by saying he held a stance contrary to concensus.

My pick turned hundreds of thousands apathetic toward something previously adored.

My pick is Bob Clarke, he is my first spite pick, and he will be figuratively kidnapped from the Quackship and locked away, never to be seen or heard; his worse fears realized: he will be lost to time, remembered by nobody

As promised, this is just the write-up for my earlier pick. I hope it is appropriate to drop it here.

“The owners of the Tampa Bay FireSticks are honoured to select as their Team Artist painter, sculptor, architect, and poet Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni (1475 – 1564). Michelangelo was considered to be the greatest artist in his lifetime and indeed one of the greatest of all time. He thought of himself primarily as a sculptor, working in marble throughout his life. He was commissioned to sculpt a statue of David (Biblical king of Israel) for the Cathedral in Florence.

Michelangelos-David-Goliath-one-statues-world.jpg

“In the statue, David was patiently waiting for his battle with Goliath, slingshot in one hand and stone in the other. Because of the size and elevation of the statue, Michelangelo intentionally made the head and hands proportionally larger. His attention to anatomical detail is unprecedented; for example, Michelangelo sculpted the small muscle on the right forearm that contracts only when the pinky finger is lifted.

“Another famous sculpture of Michelangelo’s, depicting Mary cradling the crucified body of Jesus, entitled Pietà, sits in St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican City.

“For these and many more utterly remarkable statues, Michelangelo’s greatest masterpiece was his expansive collection of biblical scenes across the Sistine Chapel, the chief consecrated space of the Vatican. Since the walls were already decorated with distinguished paintings, Michelangelo was asked to add paintings to the relatively unimportant ceiling, and then only of the 12 apostles. However, Michelangelo’s vision of the project was much grander, and he covered the ceiling with 9 scenes from Genesis, including the creation of Adam (below), and figures from 40 generations of Jesus’ ancestors. The project took 4 years, including delay of 1 year when payments were not forthcoming.

“During the siege of Florence as part of the revolt against the Medici, Michelangelo was appointed the designer of the city’s fortifications. He demonstrated knowledge of modern defensive structures that offered minimum vulnerability to attackers and maximum resistance to cannon and other artillery.

“We give complete creative liberty to this giant of art history to design our headquarters, and cannot wait to see what his genius has in store.”

Is Team Classic Actor/Actress strictly their pre-1968 movies? I think it should be, as in you don’t get their movies after 1968, in case you wanted to be cute and select someone who was in bit part roles before but known for their works after.

That's the idea, yeah, but I didn't want to put a strict limit on it in case there are exceptions where the bulk of it was before 1968 but a gem or two dropped just after, or whatever.

My favorite Michelangelo tidbit is the little muscle in your forearm that is visible ONLY when you lift your pinky, and the Moses he did is so perfect that you can see that muscle. Insane

I have to hurry and finish this so I can change the channel from ESPN. It is so f***ing bad this morning. And always.

god-damn-ugly.gif

We start the day with my brother @Hollywood Cannon on the clock, @Beef Invictus on deck, @Lord Defect on the lido deck, and Chuck on the lido afterdeck, which means that Milord is a shit sandwich for those on a Keto diet.

You know that golfer Paige who looks like she was made in a factory out of solid bubbles and balloons? I think we all have that line of plastic surgery beyond which we cannot feel attraction, because it's just too unnatural, or because the caboose is driving the train. She is well past the point where I feel anything but bemusement.

The reason I bring this up is that I saw something last night that made me think of plastic surgery and how much I can tolerate. I don't think it will come as a huge surprise that I can stand a lot more plastic surgery when it comes to Korean women than most others. I balk at some of it just like everyone else, especially when it comes to noses which have been carved to damn near non-existence. It's just that their raw materials are so utterly delicious that I don't mind half the time. I see the same effects on Korean men and just flinch like a bastard, so I understand it's not to everyone's taste.

Anyway, the following performer isn't even that manufactured - she just made me think of it. This video isn't NSFW at all, but your reactions to it might be, so be careful while watching. Because seriously. Rocket city.

Sorry for the delay but not really.

We at the Las Vegas Desert Ducks are proud to select as our International Hockey Team....

Sweden

Since Jojo was a jerk and stole what I was going to take this was the next best option because the blouses are 10/10 and who doesn't love the Swedes.
