Rounding out (I assume) our defence is another multiple Stanley Cup winner who played both forward and defence. This player won the Stanley Cup as a forward with the Maroons and the Rangers before switching to defence with the Bruins, where he won a Hart trophy. Known more for his willingness to fight than his scoring ability, he still put up a respectable 296 points in 594 games. Named the coach of the Canadiens upon his retirement from the NHL, he tragically drowned at the age of 35 before ever coaching a game. He was elected to the HHOF in 1964.
