I understand that the people here are really friendly. I imagine before tourism boomed worldwide and climate change started ramping up significantly, it was an even nicer place to be. It's just a shame we can't trim off maybe the last decade and a half or so.
Team country/century: French Polynesia, 20th Century
I know it's not technically a country.

I couldn't believe he was actually still available. We be slackin'.Damn it.
I was hoping to sneak out of this round with him. Easily could have chosen him over some of my picks that wouldn't have been taken by others.I couldn't believe he was actually still available. We be slackin'.
Thanks, @Young Sandwich. You people and your drafting during work hours!
Fortunately, I had a capital-E epiphany (which is better as a spoken saying [which is redundant]) at lunch about the perfect Team Energy Drink. For those of you unfamiliar with the Asterix et Obelix cartoon series, created in 1959 by writer René Goscinny and illustrator Albert Uderzo, it is about a small village of vikings in Gaul (they weren't true vikings, who were Scandinavian, so really ...)
... oh, right, these Gaulois were a solitary outpost within the Roman Empire, and the stories were primarily about them defeating the Romans with the assistance of a special potion magique, made by the druid Panoramix. This potion gave Asterix super strength, speed, agility, etc. Obelix didn't need it because as a young boy he fell into the cauldron with the magic potion.
Thus, we will select the Magic Potion of Panoramix as our Team Energy Drink.
Ils sont fous ces @Maguas.
This makes me wish I was more creative with this category. A lot of ideas are now popping into my head. Well done.

The Honolulu Ghibli prep our time machine to go back to our Team Decade/Country......1990s Hong Kong
Not a country, I know! But there's precedent with other picks.
You could choke on the thick spirit and energy of '90s Hong Kong. Both endlessly sprawling and endlessly cramped; neon soaked with the right kind of chaos. The economy was booming, Hong Kong cinema and Cantopop were wrapping up their golden ages, and the impending handover gripped the city with a now-or-never restlessness. To spend a few years there in the early-mid '90s? What a time and place to be alive.
