NHL hearing with Brown today (UPD: Two game suspension)

Brown was going to give him the shoulder, but Pominville instead of going to take the body went for the poke check. Brown was obviously expecting Pominville to be taking the body. Pominville takes the body and that elbow hits him in the chest. I was fully expecting 1 game, but 2 games is one too many.

Not having Brown for 2 games is interesting

Brown's had amazing durability given the kind of game he plays: 82 games for the past 3 years and 80 the yr before that. Sometimes people criticize Brown for not mucking it up/dropping the gloves, etc.. more often. But I'd trade that for full seasons of physical play any day.

That's the bigger problem I have with it. Outright lies and slander are ok, but don't you dare put forth a reasonable argument with facts.

I'm still not surprised at the suspension, but I hope the team's play coupled with the suspension gives these guys some fire and a reminder that teams are gunning for them

This isn't true. I think everyone needs to know this. The fact is, you guys don't see what gets deleted or who does it. There are part two's for every suspension thread, so nobody is being treated differently than anyone else. People are allowed to think Brown's a dirty player and we are allowed to say otherwise. Just look at my posts. If you have any specific concerns message me, but Kings fans are definitely not being persecuted.

That's because it hasn't been since the Ducks won that another non-traditional market has won. So all the elitist traditional markets start crying that we have no business playing much less having the cup. And they would have to give credit if we did well in the playoffs. And their world would just about end if we managed to make it back to the finals much less repeat.

I didn't feel I was trolling, but somehow all my posts were erased. Meanwhile I can still see other fans saying Brown is a piece of ****, dirtiest player in the league, etc. Not to mention they love hating on all Kings fans.

But on second thought, I'm probably just irritable from the recent play by the Kings

I am happy to be hated by so many, to me it means that not only are we a team that others are so frightened of that they have to use such vitriol but it also means that we have made it. We are the cup champs this year and we will be a contender, a true threat for the next several years to come.

Hate us all you want we can take it, we are the champs and are going to do it again. That sort of thing.

Its better than the 38 years of loving the team before this when most everyone thought of us as a joke. Now they have to take us seriously.
