Shanaban strikes and the inconsistency continues. Might as well start resting guys cuz no way we get home ice any more...

Mitchell and Greene were out all year, and it's not like the Kings were in a position for home ice. Yeah, just fold the tent, it's all over.

Way to misinterpret what I was saying. Never said we're done in the playoffs, just that we can't expect to clinch home ice now with Brown out. And they really were in a position for home ice until they decided to **** the bed...

****ing ******** decision. Shanahan himself did worse in warmups. The guy has the right initials for the job.

If/when the NHL posts ******** explaining why he felt a two game suspension was valid, can someone post the link please. I'll be travelling and don't want to miss the wordsmithing he does to validate this decision.

Teams can nut it up for a short period of time when missing a key player. Happens all the time. We've got better players than Brown on the team who can step it up. Heck, I think they'll be even more focused tonight than usual because of this.

This league is a ****ing joke. 2 games for someone half ass trying to check you. I hate to say it but malkins was 10 times worse he got nothing. Weber smashing a face into the boards gets nothing. So pissed off right now. Shanahan needs to go.

That's consistent Shanny for you.

Really? Because without him the Kings turn into pumpkins? They know they played poorly yesterday and Sutter's post game 'chat' sank in most likeliy. They should come out fired up tonight and put out their A game. If Carter's out, then you might worry , since he's the pure sniper. Deep team, only 2 games, they'll do fine and they'll win tonight.

It sucks, but at least he wasn't suspended for any playoff games which is ultimately what matters the most.

Stupid decision. Brown wasn't even looking at Pominville. How can he be punished worse than guys who actually target the head?

********.

Its doubtful, 3 games in 4 nights means the odds are way against us, especially considering we've been **** on the road. Hope I'm wrong though...

That's what I was interpreting. Brown is out for 2 games. Mitchell and Greene were out for the whole year. There's no reason the Kings can't still get home ice. The Kings didn't show up last night with Brown, so, him being in the lineup doesn't guarantee anything.

You're not trying to make sense out of SHanny system are you? I/m still trying to figure out how Weber didn't get suspended for nearly putting Zetterberg's head thru thru the glass.

we can definitely win the next two. this is the time of year for guys to step up and more importantly play with the pride of being stanley cup champs and win 2 more games.

Could we get to see TT with kopi? Maybe this is a blessing in disguise. Can he get to Detroit before the game?

I'm trying to be realistic about the whole thing. Losing one of our best scorers this year hurts our chances of winning...

I don't think he was accusing you of saying that. That's not at all what I got out of it.

just that we can't expect to clinch home ice now with Brown out.
This is the part he was commenting on. Brown is not such an essential player that our hopes of winning home ice literally ride on his back. It's likely, even expected, that other players can and will step up in his stead for two measly games. Of course he is an important player and his loss would show statistically over the course of many games, but his presence for one or two games simply isn't a make-or-break proposition.

And they really were in a position for home ice until they decided to **** the bed...
Well... exactly. Greene and Mitchell were, aside from Drew, our most important defensemen last year and throughout the playoffs. They were missing for almost the whole season and yet... here we are! Trying to clinch home ice!

Other players step up and play hard to compensate. That was his point.

Doubt it he will go to the second line and Penner will move up. TT has been playing right wing and that would displace Williams. So they will do what they have in the other games and move Richards to LW Carter to C and play TT on RW on the second line.
