NHL hearing with Brown today (UPD: Two game suspension)

They are probably asking Brown about the past few games.

He had a slew foot that was plain as day in the Minny game as well that Ref's missed.

Also the Dallas game the drive by hit.

Shanny is probably asking Brown "WTF Dude , stop making me do my job"...

Yea but its a shame Poms got hurt. Obviously if he would have come back after the incident we probably wouldn't be talking suspension and no one would have their pitch forks out....

I don't think anyone hated on Parise. Or Modano back in the day. The style of play dictacts hate/worship. Ask Canadian boys Steve Ott and Sean Avery.

Speaking as a Canadian who watched him play with the Jets way back when, he isn't worshipped. Not by me, and not by very many Canadians, especially after his five-year-old tamtrum following the playoffs last year. And I don't say that because I'm a Kings fan. The only reason he got any love is because he flew under the radar in Phoenix for so long, all anyone knew was he's a scrappy banger that wore a 'C'. Seeing his me-first attitude a few times though has soured a lot of people, not to mention his non-handshake with Brown, which is a huge no-no up here.

And he ain't no Dustin Brown either. That's an insult to the good name of Dustin Brown. It's even an insult to the word potato.

Exactly what I said (though Fraser added in about Pominville lowering his head as others here mentioned). This isn't even worthy of a 2 minute minor. It's an unfortunate accident based on a combination of actions by both Brown and Pominville, in connection with the timing the puck arrived. Sometimes **** really does happen.

The one thing no one is talking about is how he got hurt. Watch the hit, then watch how Pominville's head hits the ice. He's more likely to have been hurt by the ice than Brown. And if he wasn't hurt, this wouldn't even be an issue.
 
if he does get suspended i hope they announce before todays game. dont want him to miss any PO games.

Mike Richards had the same thing happen to him last year( Cold Shoulder hit)....

No suspension , not even a hearing.

We weren't crying on the main boards (regulars weren't at-least).

The Kings lost Richards for a month and they went into a tailspin.

True. I used to like Bergenheim before that hit but now I resent him. Just one more strike against Richards. If he gets hit like that again his career could be over....
 
For the most part I don't care much either way, as we are still capable of winning without him. But a large party of me hopes he isn't suspended just for the collective *****fest on the main boards.

Interesting point. I don't know how these hearings work. I always figured they were for one specific incident, but I could definitely see it being Shanahan wondering why Brown's been extra-aggressive this week.

Playoffs are nearing soon...

Every player should prepare himself to be the best once the playoffs start.
 
Crap I have a meetin in 10 mins and was hoping they would announce beforehand.
With Tyler being called up, and NHL.com takng down the brown pic to promote the king/wings game it is looking like a suspension is coming. Hoping not, but signs are pointing that way.
 
Shanaban strikes and the inconsistency continues. Might as well start resting guys cuz no way we get home ice any more...

Brown's hit wasn't a cold shoulder, it was an elbow to the jaw and the recipient got a concussion. Suspension is pretty self explanatory and should have been expected. The team goes on...
