He also didn't have a team that scored a total of 3 goals, all by 1 guy, in 6 consecutive games.

These awards are for the full 82 game regular season. The post-season awards have already been handed out. The Kings won all of those. We should be content with that.

GM award is done after the 2nd round of the playoffs. Yeah, that 2nd round that the Kings booted the Ducks out of.

3rd place? I guess the other GMs were upset with Dean being four steps ahead of them at the draft and at trade deadlines.

Are we sure about that?

Yes:

Voting for this award was conducted among the 30 club general managers and a panel of NHL executives, print and broadcast media at the conclusion of the Second Round of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The winner will be announced Tuesday, June 24, during the 2014 NHL Awards from Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas. The 2014 NHL Awards will be broadcast by NBCSN in the United States and CBC in Canada.

Dustin Brown won a humanitarian award - Mark Messier leadership award to be exact. CBC did a overview on his contributions to the community. :yo:

I'm glad Brown got honored, even if it was a 1 man vote. Everything else was stupid and a waste of time pretty much. DL not getting GM of the year....lol. They lost me after that.

Hart votes:

Varlomov: 256 points (1-8-23-22-9)
Rask: 35 points (0-1-2-5-3)

Rask wins the Vezina...

So that was...

Pathetic. Well, I guess you could argue that the only move Lombardi made this year was acquiring Gaborik, so if you're basing it off this year alone well... Seems completely stupid but whatever. We got the hardware that mattered.

He traded Penner, opening a hole he never filled

The Ducks did still finish 2nd in the league, a single point behind Boston, and tied with Boston with 51 ROW's.

GM award is done after the 2nd round of the playoffs. Yeah, that 2nd round that the Kings booted the Ducks out of.

Alright, but it's not like the Ducks got blown out, other than in Game 7. Yeah, it was at home. The Ducks still had a good year.

Pretty much. You would think the awards were done for an entire season. And to me, and entire season doesn't include until the playoffs are done.

The regular season and the playoffs really are two different animals though. Gretzky's points in the playoffs aren't added to his regular season numbers.

The regular season is the regular season. The playoffs are a 2 month elimination tournament.
