I also wanted Wahlstrom haha.

Looking back at the draft I don’t think it would have mattered who the Hawks took, they probably would have turned into a bust.

I don’t think for a second Bouchard becomes even half the player offensively if we drafted him, and probably the same with Dobson.

Wahlstrom blew out his knee say the islander fans. No one could predict that reasonably so I wouldn’t be too hard on myself.

Are things really as dire with the New York Rangers as the main boards would have us believe?
Well for starters their GM publicly said the core will need to be broken up about 3 weeks ago while they were 12-4-1. They tried to trade Goodrow who was well liked in the room and was an Alternate captain to San Jose but Goodrow rejected it. Rangers then put Goodrow on waivers knowing San Jose would claim him.

They then let it out publicly that they wanted to get rid of Trouba and Kreider

They threatend to send Trouba on waivers if he didnt approve of a trade. They trade him to the complete opposite side of the country while his wife is still trying to complete her residency as a Dr. in New York and take care of their kids.

No surprise the room is beyond broken now even Igor demanded a Full NMC his entire contract. They cant trust Drury

No problem with a GM treating a business like a business. Just don't expect anybody to ever take a discount for you.
Kinda like the fans who say they never would've given Seabrook his contract. If you won't take care of guys who sacrifice their long-term health for the ultimate prize (and are successful in that pursuit THREE TIMES, then who will you pay?

Gotta take the heart out of it at times, like Tampa did in effectively replacing their captain in Stamkos with Guentzel.
